Hi everyone! I just passed my 1 year surgiversary, and thought I would post an update. I am doing great. I had my 1 year follow-up appointment with my surgeon on 3/31/09. My current weight is 157. I was hoping to get down to 150 by my 1 year mark, but 157 isn't too shabby. I only have about 27 more pounds until I reach my personal goal of 130. I will be praying that GOD gives me the strength and motivation to acheive that goal. Regardless, I am very happy with my progress. The nurse also took some blood from me at my appointment to check my vitamin levels. Hopefully those results will come back okay. My vitamin levels at my 6 months follow-up were perfect. I am also very happy because my surgeon did give me the "Okay" to start trying for a baby. My husband and I hope to start trying at the end of April. I am so ready to be a mother.
Another thing that I'm excited about is my choice to join in the Catholic faith. I was never baptised/confirmed as a child. My husband is Catholic and we would love to raise our children as Catholic. I started meeting with a priest in October last year, and just recently had my last meeting with him on 3/30/09. My husband and I will be having our marriage blessed in the Catholic church on 4/6/09, and then I will be baptised and confirmed on 4/11/09 at the Easter Vigil. I have never really been a religious person, but I am hoping that this will help to bring me closer to GOD.
Well, that's about all for now. I will update more later, as new and interesting things happen.
