I'm a 55 yr. old female who has suffered with my weight my entire life. When I was in my late 30's I reached my all time high of 100 pounds overweight and went on a very low cal diet and lost my weight in one year. I didn't regain all the weight but yo-yo'd diet 20-30 pounds annually, keeping my weight in check through exercise (hiking, swimming, walking). Two years ago I suffered with groin pain after exercising. It became increasingly worse and worse until I finally stopped exercising to let my "injury" heal. My weight really began ballooning without exercising, which lowered my self-esteem and overall emotional well being. I was diagnosed with arthritis and needed a hip replacement "down the road". My wish and goal is my desire to be pain-free and be able to once be active and enjoy hiking and life.

Milestones:
11/2006 - Received authorization to go into WLS class (found out that I was underweight for surgery)
2/2007 - Between 11/06 - 2/07 gained 25 pounds to qualify for WLS
10/23/07 - Had RNY surgery; beginning weight 260
4/21/08 - Total Hip Replacement Surgery (current weight 173)
