Marmee Noir (mother of all darkness)

I have toyed with the idea of WLS for several years now and started re-reseaching it a few months ago.  There have been 5 people at my office that have had MGB.  I have seen there results and also found out that our insurance does cover the surgery.  I was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure as well as insulin resistence.  This really got weightloss back on my mind.  Not that its never not there, but sometimes you fool yourself into believing your just fat and happy.  I found Dr.Bauman through NorthEast medical center and have read great things about him on this site as well as NorthEasts.  I called and made my appointment for a consult for 1/8/07.  I have already done my labs and upper GI.  Psych appt and nutrition appts are all scheduled. Everyone I have talked to from NorthEast have been very supportive of Dr. Bauman and have great things to say about him. It may sound odd but they also seemed genuinly excited for me in my journey through WLS.  All medical records have been requested to be sent in to the office before my appointment.  I am super psyched and cant seem to get enough information about all of it.  Saw a great video from a center in Boston actually perform an RNY.  It was very educational and I must admit fascinating.  Im looking forward to starting my journey of losing so I can be more active.  I want to be able to play on the floor with my daughter and not have a difficult time getting up.  From what I hear it is a roller coaster but each and EVERY person I have talked to from my office says it was the best thing they ever have done for themselves and would absolutely recommend it.
