First Meeting with Fitness Coach

January 23:

I had my first meeting with my fitness coach. He developed an exercise plan for me to do at home because I live 30 minutes from the Team Bariatrics facility.  My first month goals consist of:

  1. At work, getting up from my desk for 5 minutes of every hour to walk around.  
  2. Use treadmill at work once per day (m-f). Walk as long as able & comfortable.
  3. Strengthening exercises every other day. (Mon., Wed., and Fri.).

January 24

Due to the fact that I haven't had much exercise,( I have osteoarthritis in both of my knees and have to take painkillers during the day and at night), Moving around is very scary to me.  I am afraid that I will have more pain.  Today I did get up every hour from my desk, I was unable to use the treadmill due to being short staffed, and I did my strength training today. I really felt the exercises, and I know the old saying "No pain, no gain" is true.

January 25

I am so sore today!! I hurt constantly, even with the pain killers.  My back hurts, my neck hurts, my arm hurts. I'm hoping it gets better since I don't do my strength training again till Monday.
