Okay I have been working on having surgery since May of 06. All was going well tricare picked my doctor Dr. Brady Way. I had done everything that was required and had a surgery date scheduled for October 4, 2006. Then I get a call a week before stating that the hospital had stopped all surgeries. Okay I was bit upset but not pissed about it. I had a feeling something was gonna happen so it didn't really suprise me at all...that's just my luck! Well the bariatric coordinator asked me to hold on until that Monday to see what was going on. She got back with me that weekend and explained somethings and said that it would be a long fight. I didn't want to wait and fighting a hospital could take years...so I pressed on. I called Tricare they switched me over to another doctor in the network that Tuesday and I had a consult. I was required to take 3 more extra test....had it done and the planning was on. Well the staff submitted my paper work to tricare over the holidays and it got lost. I didn't trip, I just called the office she re-submitted the paper work on the 27th of Dec. I got a call Wednesday January 3rd 2007 from the office stating that my surgery is scheduled for Jan 16, 2007 HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ME!!!!!!! I can't tell you how happy I was to hear that everything is complete and ready to roll. I was like oh my goodness this is really gonna happen...finally. So here I am with less than a week to go. I am kind of nervous but very very happy....I am like Janet Jackson "so excited"!! This is really gonna happen! I am ready to get this show on the road and it has been a long time coming. I haven't told many people in my family only those that really matter and needed to know. This was a very personal decision for me and I didn't want to share it with everyone because some people don't understand and I am not going to explain my reasons for wanting it done because right now it is all about ME! It took me a long time to come to this decision and I don't need or want any negativity whatsoever, no nay-sayers. So my new life begins on the 16th of January...I can't even explain how excited I am. Well the real journey begins in less than a week. I can't wait. Well I just wanted to update and let everyone know what is going on as of right now. I will post again later just wanted to share my good news with all of you.
