Let the appointments begin!!

Well my first apt was on Monday and had a sleep consultation today! Let the appointments begin.
Funny thing, my PCP is my new bariatrician... she is leaving her current practice to be the new bariatrician with my program!! So, needless to say it wasn't such a long process... I showed up to the apt so prepared, that the only thing I had to do was schedule the PT consult!! I met alot of nice people at the clinic and look forward to working with them. The insurance specialist wasn't in, but I called her today and she said that I shouldn't have any problems with my insurance company...that's a relief!
I went to the sleep center today to have the initial consult for possible sleep apnea, which I am certain to have... my Epworth score was 22... for those that don't know...7 is normal and 18 is a narcoleptic... lol I had to laugh when the dr. told me that!! I am not a narcoleptic, but I am very tired due to most likely sleep apnea that I didn't know about until recently. I have noticed it more within the last year that I have been so tired all of the time despite getting about 9 hours of sleep a night!! So Friday night I go to the sleep center and do an overnight sleep study... that should be fun. Most likely I will then have a CPAP until after surgery, that's not so fun, but I have to do what I have to do and make sure that I am the healthiest I can be for surgery so come out of it!! :)
My coworker is a doll to switch shifts with me so I don't have to take PTO now for all the appointments and I can save them for surgery time.
Most likely surgery will be in October due to my work schedule, but could happen in Sept.
I will update after my fun sleep study and tell you all about it!!
