Getting Closer to 100 Pounds Lost
Aug 10, 2009
I visited with Dr. Macik on Friday. It was my 6 month visit which was delayed to be actually 8 months. I lost 97 pounds. My BMI went from 47 to 33.5. Inches lost: waist = 14", hips = 12", breast = 6", arms = 3" and thighs = 6". Wow! I hate to tell anybody (not my friends here) but embarassed by what I used to be - or what other people think. I tell them anyway. I know they'll just be waiting for me to gain it back. I'm going to fool them though. I'm not going to do that. I like the new me and I like my new eating habits. I don't feel deprived at all. It seems I have a different view on food. The relationship is still there but not as much. It has been a wonderful journey for me. This is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I started out with a journal but unfortunately I didn't keep it up. My biggest problem is that I don't have much to wear. I had to keep up with the weight loss. All my wow moments are: I can fit in airplane seats and have extra seat belt to go around and restrauant booths, I can cross my legs, I can exercise and move now. I can wrap a towel around me when I get out of the shower and it fits and covers me all up. I can bend. I can do so much more. For anyone who is contemplated getting this surgery - listen up: it is your decision - do the research but don't give up on yourself. You are worth it.
