Wow, I cant believe its been over a year already since my surgery.  Its been awhile since I have been on here and posted, I guess I have been having soo much fun with my new life, I just havent had the time.  I have not forgot about all of you and have been checking out some friends progress as well.  WOW, its just amazing what this surgery has done for all of us.  The transformations are just incredible, great job to all!!  Well I am 5 lbs away from my initial goal weight, the weight loss has really slowed alot but I am still pushing to get that lsat 5 lbs OFF for GOOD!!  I feel great and have had so much fun SHOPPING!!  Loving my wardrobe..haha..Its really been a dream come true for me and one heck of a ride!  Thank you OH for all the advice, friends, etc..  If there is anyone out there considering WLS, I have only one thing to say to you-GO FOR IT!! what do you have to lose?? honestly?...Good luck to everyone and thanks again!! :)

Well not as bad as I thought it was going to be..I think cooking all day long actually made me miserable by the time everyone sat down to eat..I didnt eat any turkey as I was afraid it would be too dry going down, however the ham was delicious, had a small piece of that..I had some mashed potatoes and a couple bites of sweet potatoes..I made a fruit salad with sf whipped cream which was my favorite..lol..I definately got plenty to eat without overdoing it and it all tasted wonderful...I did halt at the thought of pumpkin pie because I know how my pouch would react to that, but its ok..maybe next year..lol...Other than that, things have been going well for me...I have been at a plateau with my weight now for about 3 weeks and its irritating but I know it will start coming off again soon..or it better anyway..haha...Everyones gotta love them plateaus but they are bound to happen unfortunately..  I still have not gave into smoking which my family thinks I am going to do...staying strong there which is great!...All in all, things are going great with me, ive noticed a little sagging but not huge which is good, I have been exercising everynight, got a lil routine down now...lol..just gotta keep at it..thinking maybe a boob job down the road but whos to say..they might perk up...  Just wanted to update everyone on how I am doing...Thanks for everyone's support here..I appreciate it greatly..

Well everyone I made it throught the first 2 weeks..PHEW!!  Had my follow up appointment today and I thought my incision was infected in my belly button, but thank god its not.  He said Its just getting too much moisture being so deep and not getting dried out like it should.  He told me to take a q-tip and swab the water out of it after I shower and that should do the trick.  I was happy to hear that!  Other than that he said that i am healing nicely and I asked about the diarhea, he said its prefectly normal after surgery.  He said not to worry about it for now unless it lasts another 2 weeks than to call him.  I was so excited to be bumped to stage 3, when i got home I had an egg for supper with whole wheat toast.  IT ROCKED!  Finally something worth tasting again. WOOHOO!

PS...BY THE WAY, I AM NO LONGER ASMOKER EITHER!!! BEEN SMOKE FREE FOR 2 WEEKS AND IT FEELS GREAT!! ITS AMAZING, I NEVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT I WOULDA KICKED THE HABIT BUT I DID AND ALTHOUGH I THINK ABOUT HAVING ONE EVERYDAY, I KNOW BETTER NOW! YAY!!!

WELL I SURVIVED SURGERY! LOL  EVERYTHING WENT FINE WITH IT ALTHOUGH I DID HAVE MY GALL BLADDER REMOVED DUE TO STONES SO I GUESS WE KILLED TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE WHICH SAVES ME ANOTHER SURGERY DOWN THE ROAD..I CAME HOME TODAY BEEN ON MY LIQUIDS AND DOIN FINE WITH THEM TOO..I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SAY THIS BUT I AM NOT HUNGRY AND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, IT DOESNT BOTHER ME TO NOT EAT..WOWSERS!..PLUS I HAVENT SMOKED EITHER, THIS IS AMAZING,ALL AT ONCE!..OH YEAH I AM DOWN 6LBS ALREADY TOO.WOO-HOO!! I WILL KEEP YOU ALL UPDATED WITH MY PROGRESS, JUST WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW IM ON THE LOSERS SIDE NOW AND AM FREAKING EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!  THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR SUPPORT!

2 DAYS UNTIL THE BIG DAY! WOW I CANT BELIEVE ITS FINALLY HERE..I AM STARTING TO FREAK OUT A BIT BUT WHEN I REALLY SIT AND THINK ABOUT IT, IM GETTING REALLY ANXIOUS TO START MY NEW LIFE AND ROAD TO SUCCESS!..I WILL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED AND OF COURSE WILL BE ASKING ADVICE CONTINUOUSLY IM SURE..HEHE...WISH ME LUCK IM READY FOR A NEW ME!!

WELL ALL MY FMLA AND SHORT TERM DISABILITY HAS BEEN APPROVED..I WILL GO FOR PRE-OP EXAM, BLOOD WORK AND NUTRITION CLASS ON THE 23RD & 24TH...RIGHT NOW IM GETTING EXCITED BUT AM REALLY NERVOUS, I HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING WITH QUITTING SMOKING, BEEN TAKING CHANTIX TO HELP BUT IT DOESNT SEEM TO BE WORKING YET..IM SO AFRAID I WONT BE ABLE TO QUIT B4 THE BIG DAY!  IT REALLY MAKES NO SENSE TO HAVE THE SURGERY IF I AM STILL SMOKING, PRETT MUCH DEFEATS THE PURPOSE..ANY INSIGHT ANYONE HAS ON SMOKING WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED..IF I CAN CONQUER THIS I BELIEVE I CAN CONQUER ANYTHING..

LAST FRIDAY I RECIEVED THE APPROVAL FROM INSURANCE FOR RNY..I AM REALLY EXCITED, CANT BELIEVE IM ACTUALLY GOING TO GO THROUGH WITH THIS AFTER CONSIDERING IT FOR SO MANY YEARS!  TODAY I HAD MY UPPER ENDOSCOPY AND COLONOSCOPY DONE..ALL WENT WELL...THE BOWEL PREP WAS THE ABSOLUTE WORST..I FIGURE IF I MADE IT THROUGH THAT, I CAN GET THRU ANYTHING...I ALSO GOT MY PRECSCRIPTION FOR CHANTEX TO HELP ME QUIT SMOKING..THIS WILL BE THE TOUGHEST FOR ME..MY DR WANTS ME TO BE SMOKE FREE FOR AT LEAST 4 WEEKS B4 SURGERY WHICH MEANS I HAVE TO QUIT ASAP BECAUSE SURGERY IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!!

MET WITH SURGEON TODAY FOR INITIAL  CONSULT TO HAVE  RNY..NOW IM JUST WAITING FOR INSURANCE APPROVAL..IN THE MEANTIME MY DR. HAS SCHEDULED A SCOPE AND COLONOSCOPY TO BE DONE AUG 22....EXCITED TO HAVE FINALLY MADE THE DECISION FOR LIFE CHANGE, BUT ALSO REALLY SCARED OF FAILURE.
