No more shots!
Jun 02, 2015
Yesterday I took my last post-surgery shot! Had to take a shot every day after surgery to help prevent a blood clot. I appreciate the doctor listened to my concern (lost my mother to a blood clot back in 1999) and was careful. I feel so bad for people who have to take a shot every day for diabetes, that cannot be easy.
Still not getting in all my protein and water but getting closer to my daily goals. Down 32 lbs. and tomorrow I'll be 5 weeks post-op.
1 month post op
May 27, 2015
Today I'm 1 month post op and down exactly 30 lbs. It's more than I could have ever hoped for, not to say I'm not struggling. The other day I tried to eat some soft beans but they didn't go down well and I started crying. Wanted a freaking burger so bad I just shut down, pouted most of the day to be honest. I know eating bad got me where I am now, but I'm still struggling with the mental part of this surgery. It's not an overnight, it's not a cure, it's a tool and I know that. I go to my 1st support meeting on Saturday and I'm really looking forward to it :)
3 weeks post op
May 20, 2015
Today I'm 3 weeks post-op and I'm down 25 lbs. so far. Had a crazy dream last night tho.
I had a dream that I was riding a bike (1st sign it was a dream) and I passed a café with outside seating. I looked down at a woman’s plate and stole her piping hot Panini! I shoved it in my mouth while trying to steer with my free hand…
She yelled at me and chased me and said she was going to call the cops and I fled like I was on fire. I think I may have issues with food. Maybe
2 weeks post op today
May 13, 2015
I'm 2 weeks post op today! I've lost 23 lbs. so far and I'm so excited. I wish I'd done this at 25 instead of 35, but better late than never. After my past bad luck from 2007 to 2009 with my lap-band I was so nervous about this surgery and the first 4 days after I was like "what have I done!" but I wouldn't go back.
