My doctor submitted a letter showing how i met the criteria after BCBS wanted me to do another 6 month physican diet.
OMG.  What a pain.  I will not give up.  I qualify...I know I do.  I need this tool. 

Now we wait.  I am a good waiter. 

My primary wants me to come in today to discuss the surgery before he gives me final clearance and rates my risk.
Think they just want money for an office visit.  I dont mind though.  He is such a great man.  he listens to me.

So as I wait i Pray for health and determination.

Met with the nutritionist today for a consult.  My office told me that is required in 2011 now.
Also met with insurance person.  We called BCBS together...as my doctor's staff believes that i have fulfilled all the requirements.  BCBS asked that office has to resubmit all the paperwork and outline how the requirements are fulfilled.
Praying for approval this time. 

Still have  a chance at having the surgery on my tentative date of 4/27. 

Was a long day of driving to orlando to the doctor.  Will be worth it. 

I wil walk thru fire if they tell me i have to.  I need this tool...

PS some good news.  Down from 298 to 281.9 ....the phase 1 eating plan and walking is working.  what i can lose now i dont have to lose after surgery.  whoohoo

Letter came to me from BCBS and my doctor has not recieved it yet   So faxed it to them.
I have a nutritionist appt tomorrow to try to satisfy their requirement.

I would walk thru fire if they asked me to for approval.
Say a prayer.

My doctor office told me today that BCBS has 30 BUSINESS DAYS to provide an answer.  but most times they do not take that long.
I believe it will not take them that long for my case.  I want to believe so i do.
is it scary,  You bet it is ...do i want this...yes i do. 

Hoping that your journey is safe and fulfilling.

I know i am antsy and waiting is hard but i have been busy doing what i can.

Had my nursing assessment with Dr Marema's office and they are great. and so very kind. 

I had blood drawn for the H-pylori bacteria test.  Something that if you have it in your system can cause stomach ulcers.
If it is positive, two weeks on a special antibotic will cure that.  Also had the chest x-ray and EKG just today.
Should have all those results no later than Friday and a letter of surgerical clearance from my wonderful Primary doctor soon after.  He has been so supportive too.

So my insurance company,  BCBS,  lets get going and do this.

Dr Marema's offic e has all the documents needed to submit to my insurance BCBS for gastric bypass approval.
They will be doing this today.
It is a good day......two weeks before i know if approved or if I need to meet more requirements for them

i finally talked to my pysch doctor.  I saw him on 2/18 and he cleared me but still hasnt done the report.
I was told it would be 10-14 days and it has been almost a month.
He was very whiny about not getting it done.  What a dork!
Gimme my letter please.
ok enough whining.  it is a beautiful day and life is gonna get better.
Trying protein bars and planning on protein shakes soon.
Have lost 9 lbs on my before eating healthy plan.  Walking every day and starting to enjoy it.  Less back pain already.

another day of waiting for other people to do their jobs so i can have a chance for insurance approval.  I know i sound bitter.
All in good time i hope this will be over soon.
I am eating careful and walking every day.
Maybe this time next week ......

Well today is a rainy day but i managed to get my walk in before the rain started again.  So proud as before i would have used the rain as an excuse.

My pysch dr office called.  Report should be to Dr marema on monday.  And they need to rebill BCBS to get paid.  It is never easy in the insurance world.  ha

Now praying that the medical records can get to doctor in a week or so.  Starting over with that task was a big issue but onward and closer to surgery i hope.

I am not down any more.  The sunshine shows me that all things are possible.
This is a journey not a race.  I just want this so badly that i got down yesterday when i had some setbacks in my plan.
So adjust the plan and move forward ....ya baby.

Walked today as well as yesterday...walking longer and smiling more.
