Hey,

My 2 year anniversary has come (OCT 6) and gone... I am still struggling with this same 15-20lbs. It's as if I'm fighting a losing battle. I have been doing the same things but no progression. I guess it's time to dust off that ole manual and get back to the basics because the protein train is not working for me!! I am so proud of how far I have come on my journey; to trip at the finish line is humiliating....Any advice?

WOW!!
Hello AMOS,
It has been a really long time since I have updated this journal; nearly a whole year. I have been enjoying my life and this gift I have been given. I'm much happier now that I have learned to love me!! Currently, I weigh 178 (still have not made it to175!!)... I am a work in continuos progress!! Over the last couple of days, I have been chatting with another BAF member that has really provided a lot of encouragement. I am hoping to come out of my shell, open up, and meet more people who can relate to what I am going through. I am not ashamed that I have had this surgery but I don't think it's anyones business, except who I choose to share it with. Until next time, Fam...

WOW....
One year ago today, I started this journey. I can honestly say...I'd do it over again in a heart beat. I started out weighing 298 lbs... today, I weigh 190 lbs. One year ago I wore clothes that were size 20/22, today I wear clothes size 10/12!! It has not been an easy road; there have been rough spots and setbacks. I have yet to reach my goal weight but I will get there. I have been given a gift. I am thankful. Until next time Fam, Later...

Hello AMOS Family,
It has been eons since I've updated...I'm doing well, life is exceptionally good and most importantly I'm happy!! I have yet to reach my personal goal of 180; these last 10 lbs are killing me to get off. My doctor said he would like to see me at 175; I'm still working towards his goal because I figure once I stop excercising five, six times a week as I've been doing, I'll probably regain a couple of pounds. I am extremely grateful for this new lease on life. I hope I have encouraged all who are starting this journey. Remember, "It gets Greater Later!!" Until next time Fam, Later...

Hello AMOS Family,

I'm praying everything is good for all on this wonderful journey to a better life. Yesterday was my birthday... and I've had time to reflect on a lot of diffrent things. I'm at a point in my life where I'm so happy to be me!! I have evrything I've ever wanted and am truly blessed. I turned 27 years old and I can honestly say this has been the best birthday I ever had. I've accepted myself as a person and I've realized what being a grown woman is all about. It doesn't have anything to do with age; it's about making decisions on your own and accepting the outcome, whatever they may be. I am sooo glad I decided to do something about my weight I was so miserable and now I fell complete. Anyhoo... I'm down to 208!! Yeah for me!! I've been working out and keeping my protien up and it's really paying off!! The plan does work, yall we just gotta work it. Dr Wood didn't even recognize me when I went in for my 6 mo check up... THAT was FUNNY. Keep up the fight all. Until next time Fam, Later...

Hello AMOS Family,

I'm a little late, but I've been sooo busy lately. I didn't make my goal; I weighed in @ 225. I think the problem is I haven't been exercising like I'm suppose to. I will keep losing, though. I'm determined to get to my goal weight. So this month, my goal is 210..maybe I'll actually make it if I get off my azz & excercise!! I promise I will, this surgery wasn't for nothing. Until next time Fam, Later...
