I'm orginally from Bronx,NY. I'm now living in Nashville,TN. I have been here for 19 years. I'm a mother of 3 beautiful boys. 14,9 and 3. I'm married to my high school sweetheart. I'm all in all very blessed. God has been good to me and continues to bless me every day. My current blessing has been this surgery. I haven't always been heavy. I had my first son when I was 22 and from then on I have added the pounds. At my highest I was 307lbs. I currently weigh 299. It's funny with all these years of this weight I have carried around it has never slowed me down. I do everthing. I'm active and a very busy mom, but now it's slowing me down and I can't stand it. My body is saying ok this is enough. Food is comfort for me. My best friend. Last year this time I had taken off 50lbs. I was given a award from the heart association for lifestyle change. Things were looking up, but with new stresses in my life I added the weight back on. I have a sister that had this surgery 11yrs ago. I have watched her ups and downs. She still struggles with her weight. Currently she looks great but doesn't see it. I love her but I don't want that to be me. I realized that I have some underline issues that got me here in the first place. I'm currently seeing a therapist. I really want to have continue success 2 years after this surgery. I think I'm heading down the right road. With God on my side I won't get lost.
