Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! The next year is going to be the most amazing of your life. I know that you must feel as anxious and nervous as I did ten months ago. But soon this waiting game will only be a memory and you will be on to your new life. I am 10 months post op and I have lost 130 pounds. I went from a size 24 to a 4 in a little over 6 months. Miracles do and will happen for you. I have tried to keep a profile that can be used as a resource for pre-ops. That answers all of the questions that I had when I was in your shoes. And links to various places to do more of your own research. If you have any questions or just need someone to talk to that understands please feel free to email me. You're almost there, Marcia! Your new and healthy life will soon begin. The first month or two can be challenging for some but then it gets so much better and so exciting as people start complimenting you, you realize you have bones you didn't remember you had, and you start feeling as though you are emerging from a cocoon. All the best to you and I can't wait to hear all about your progress!!!
