07/29/06 - 9 days and counting. I find myself getting a little nervous every now and then. I remember when I was thinking 6 weeks will take forever and now it is almost here. Emotions........wish I could live without them. HAHA
I want to thank everyone for the encouraging words. It is great to get that email. It makes you smile knowing you have friends you have never met.
08/11/06 - So this is what it is like on the other side. This is my 3rd day post-op. I came home from the hospital last night and had a difficult time. I got really sick at my stomach after drinking the protein drink that I had picked out. It seems that maybe my taste buds are different now. I could not get comfortable in my bed. Then I laid there thinking what have I done. Then I starting thinking what can I do to change the drinks and get myself comfortable. So that is my goal for today.
08/12/06 - 4th day post-op. I had a much better day than yesterday. I decided to get the protien mix that the hospital used. It is called Unjury. It has several different flavors and also one unflavor. Thats the one for me. I called the manufacturer and had some mailed overnight. I am so thankful that I only have to do this protein drink until Thursday. I have been walking in my neighborhood 4 times a day. I seem to get tired real easy and I take several naps. I think I am going to really like the naps!! lol
08/17/06 - Wow! I had my first Dr appt. today. I have lost 33lbs. It is amazing how the weight is falling off.
09/07/06 - Went to the cardiologist today and I have lost a total of 46lbs. I am having a little trouble with headaches and an irregular heartbeat. Had blood work done today so I am waiting to hear from the Dr tomorrow.
09/17/06 - I went to Dr Houston Thursday an I have lost 55lbs. Everything is going great with the weight loss. I am still having some heart trouble and I go to the cardiologist this Thursday for more test.
10/23/06 - Sorry it has been a while since I have posted. Went back to the cardiologist and had a great check up. He could not find anything wrong. I am still on all my heart meds but I dont have to go back for 1 year. I also had my 2 month checkup with Dr. Houston. I have lost a total of 77lbs. I am so excited to see the weight go. So in 10 weeks I have lost 77lbs!!!!
10/26/06 - I went by the Doctors office today and wieghed and I have lost 4 more lbs. That brings my total to 81lbs in 11 weeks!!
