I've always been big, but not always THIS big! A lot of things have played a part in my weight ups and downs - abuse, neglect, and more recently my body falling apart. I had a rough childhood and was very overweight, but then was put in a foster home where I was loved and treated well and lost weight. I was a little overweight, but still in the normal range when I met my ex-husband. After seven years in a very abusive relationship I was at an all new high that just shocked me. I spent years in counseling to overcome a lot of issues and the side effect of that was losing 106 pounds. I met my current husband and fell head over heels in love with him. I'm still smitten and hope to remain so for the rest of my life. Within a month of being married, I had one surgery. Then I had two surgeries in subsequent years. The result of the surgeries has been long periods with little or no mobility and despite the surgeries, I am now disabled. During the years of surgeries, I gained back the entire 106 pounds plus an extra 10 pounds (my weight is very social and always comes back with friends!). So now it's a slow journey, but I'm losing a little bit at a time...
