Back to Toledo...

Dec 20, 2012

Headed back to Toledo day after Christmas.... for another surgery... I have a twist in my upper bowel and it has caused a hernia that needs removed... he says it is a simple procedure but any surgery makes me nervous... I went last week for an endoscopy and they removed a suture that caused an ulcer which is treatable but sucks for sure but hopefully all this will make me feel better and I will be back to normal in a couple weeks :)

Swimming and biking, walking and being with friends & family  Life is good. I love them so much. Without them I wouldn't have made it this far.

Migraines coming back...

Jun 13, 2011

I have suffered from Migraines since my daughter was born 7 yrs ago... I had not had a migraine since my RNY April 4th which was very exciting, but unfortunatley they have came back... I went to my PCP today and she prescribed Topamax daily at bedtime and Maxalt for breakthrough headaches. Hopefully that will keep it under control...

10 Weeks since RNY I am down 50 lbs today... so exciting

My first STaLL ... Already?!

May 21, 2011

Now don't get me wrong...I knew there would be stalls and plateaus, but soooo soon?? I am just barely 7 wks post-op and I have been losing and gaining the same 1 lb for a week? I can not get under 237?! I read something on the forums about a Plateau Busting diet? but I am not able to eat that much yet? like 2 oz of meat with 1/2 cup of LF cottage cheese? I can't eat over 2 oz. of meat period? Sooo confused, and mad honestly? I figured I would at least get to 199 and then stall? I can't stand the 200's I want to be out of them NoW....
