1 year post-op!!

Aug 23, 2009

I am offically 1 year post-op and its amazing. It does feel like it was forever ago, but there has been so many changes in me this year. I'm down 150 pounds!! I now weigh 202.. which is still big, and im still 22 lbs away from my goal, but.. im happy! Im done with medical assisting school and im now working at a surgical center. We do alot of plastic surgery, dental, and podiatry. Its really interesting, but I have noticed that as a MA I do just as much work if not more than a nurse, the only difference is the paper work and drug administration. So I have decided to go back to school for my nursing degree!!

Now that I have started medication for my Rheumatoid Arthritis, I cant try for another baby for about 5-6 more months. So we are hoping that by Feb/March we can start trying, but im hoping im down to my goal weight, if not lower. My hubby has been working in Texas for 8 months now and comes home on the weekends and its been really hard on us.. im dealing with alot on my own. Its hard on our relationship but we are working through it and it is what we have to do to get by. My son is such a great kid! Im so proud of what kind of person he is and will turn out to be. He's crazy and out of control, but so loving and caring! I cant wait to have another baby, and I really wish I could start trying now, because I still have such baby fever  but I know its just not the right time and I need to be healthy enough first. I just cant get it out of my head everyday, thinking about how far along I would have been in both of my pregnancies that I lost.. Its hard to to think, oh this is the week I would have found out what the sex was, or this is the week I would be feeling the kicking.. so.. its kind of depressing, but I know god has a reason for everything and he will soon bless me with a miracle when the time is right..
