I don't think my story's that much different than a lot of people on this site. I'm a 38 year old single mom of a great kid who finally decided that I want to still be alive to watch him graduate from college, find the career that makes him happy, and become settled in his life. There's no guarantee that I'll be able to do that at the weight I'm currently at. Do I want to look good? Yes. Do I want to feel good? Absolutely. But more important than those things is that I want to live to see my son grown up and happy. So I decided to embark upon this journey. I'm sure there will be naysayers...but I can't worry about that. I'm not doing this for them...I'm doing this for me.
