WALKING IN THE WINTER ONEWONDERLAND

I HAD MY REVISION TO THE OPEN RNY ON 12.04.07 – THE FIRST WEEK WAS EVIL AND I DID NOT KNOW WHEN THE PAIN WOULD STOP! FINALLY AFTER IT SEEMED FOREVER, THE NEXT WEEK WAS BETTER AND EVERY DAY IS GETTING BETTER BUT STILL NOT 100% COMFORTABLE AND HAVE TO REST AFTER RUNNING ERRANDS OF ANY SORT.
I HAD MY STAPLES TAKEN OUT 12.20.07 AND I AM DOWN 16 POUNDS AND NOW WALKING IN THE WINTER ONEDERLAND!!! I HAVE NOT BEEN BELOW 200’S OVER 13 YEARS – I DID NOT LOOSE AS MUCH AS I WANTED AND ASK THE DOCTOR ABOUT MY CONCERNS BUT HE EXPLAINED THE REVISIONS DO NOT LOOSE AS FAST AS ONES THAT ARE JUST STARTING OUT. I WILL HAVE TO WORK HARDER AND ACHIEVE MY GOALS BEFORE SUMMER.

I will have surgery on 12-04-07, I read the WLS board everyday learning the do’s, the don’ts, the why’s and the why not’s on preop and postop surgery. I am such a junk food junkie, that I am rarely hungry and when I do eat, I eat chips, tacos, all type of junk food, I have tried to change my eating habits the past few months.
These past two weeks I have realized I need to cut back on soda, drink mucho water, eat healthy food every two hours, make sure to eat and chew, do not drink when eating, get more protein. After 2 weeks, I lost 9 pounds and I now know that I can actually do this after surgery. Can I get an AMEN! Thanks for all the encouraging and uplifting support, I am not afraid to face this battle, as I know I have strength from many OH friends.

2007 ~ I had different emotions as if I should or should not call the Doctor about a revision to the open RNY, I finally took the steps to schedule my appointment with the Doctor on 10-11-07, Doctor said he would send the papers into the insurance company and wait for the outcome on the decision.
I thought there would be excessive red tape waiting for the answer from the insurance company, 15 days later; I received my approval letter on 10.27.07. On 11-08-07 I had my consultation, the following day on 11-09-07 I was given my date of 12-04-07 to have surgery.
Everything moved so quickly, so many feelings running through my head. I will have a healthier life, I will have control of my new life, I will survive, I will commit 100%, and I will be on the LOSER BENCH.
