Happy 1st Surgiversary to me !!! 1 year ago today at this time I was on my way to HRRH to start this journey. It hasn't been easy but it has been worth it. 100lbs gone forever!! Still struggling with my ulcer but it seems under control as long as I stay on my medications. All I can say to those of you starting this journey is stick with the plan, if you do you will get results. I still have days where I forget about having my pouch and eat something to quickly and I pay for it with cramping, nausea and vomiting but again that is my fault not my pouches fault. I don't regret for one moment having this surgery, It has been a huge change and has required a lot of adjustments to my lifestyle but again all worth it. I'm happier, I'm healthier, I no longer have back pain, my husband compliments me everyday and I can keep up with my kids again. I have my 1 year follow up with the Bariatric Clinic on Friday, hope they are as happy with my success as I am. ????
