I can't believe it, surgery is tomorrow morning!! I'm on clear liquids today and feel quite hungry but know that this is going to pass and the benefits will be great. I will post again once I'm home. (I might post from the hospital if I am feeling up to it)

This is my last day of solid foods for a while. Tomorrow, nothing but liquids.

Surgery is Next Week!!

Well, it happened. I finally got a surgery date and it is October 22nd. I've been on the pre-op diet for a week and have already lost 10 lbs. I hope that is a sign of good things to come.

Pre-Op Testing Completed

I completed the pre-op testing this week and will have the pre-op visit with my surgeon next week. We will be able to schedule the surgery at that time. It is getting closer!

I Got Approved!!!

Well, this is my first post because I didn't want to get crazy before I knew for sure. My insurance approved my case and I go for pre-op testing on 9-28-09. Wow! It is a reality now. I freaked out at first knowing that it was going to happen, but now I have settled into it and am excited and ready to do it. I know it is probably going to be at least another 3-4 weeks out because I won't be able to schedule surgery until after my pre-op visit with my surgeon to go over my test results. The holidays will definitely be interesting this year; however, I know it will be worth it.
