I did not go through with the surgery. After going through all the test to get the surgery, which the dr was still willing to do it, They found that there wasn't a thing changed in 10-11 yrs since I had my surgery, what a sigh of relief, I really was dreading going through all that again, and my mother was ill and not doing well, which she came down with phenomena while the time I would had been really recovering. and husband did as well, so I had to become caregiver for a few days until husband got back on his feet. To answer your Question, yes Wa state Medicare and Apple would had paid for it after I passed everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING. I went through so many tests, and phyc evaluations, and all types of things that I was running here and there for a month or longer. Then 2 days before surgery, doc tells me he can only guarantee me 30 lbs, all that pain and reliving all the pain and troubles I went through at 320 to lose 100s of lbs was worth it, but for only 30lbs, um, I had to think about it, so now am working closely with a diet and if weight doesn't come off, and I haven't messed up chances to get it, then I will get it, doc may be able to guarantee only 30, but I can do more and get down more then only the 30lbs.
