Well friends, I made it safely to the other side. I am home and feeling better each day! My belly is still a little sore when I stand up or roll over in bed, but nothing like a few days ago. I cannot imagine eating anything other than my allowed liquids right now, but everytime I fall asleep, I dream that I am making huge, beautiful dagwood sandwiches, and fresh, hot fried chicken! lol Can you say, "head hunger?" What a trip! The other teachers at my school sent me a card and took up a collection for me. I am so touched by this! The money is enough to greatly defray the cost of joining the local health club. I want to also say THANK YOU to everyone who prayed and sent out positive thoughts for me. To those who called and visited, an extra big thank you. I am on my way to a healthier me! Best wishes to those who are about to have surgery, especially my wonderful angel, JOY. I am looking forward to making this journey to health with you. Love to all...

I called to check on Robin this afternoon and she was still in ICU... so I called again this evening and shes been assigned to a room Room #676 her number is 214-590-7676, I tried calling and there was no answer. I will try to call back later, maybe shes out walking...but since she has got her own room now I would assume shes doing good.

Congradulations Robin, you have made it to the other side. I am so happy for you, I know you fought long and hard to get this done. Your post and personal e-mails were an inspiration to me. I hope your recovery is uneventfull and as painless as possible. Donna

Hi It's my pleasure to inform you that Robin has made it to the other side and is doing well. She says she's "sleepy and hurting" I met Robin and her sister at 5am this morning and went to the hospital. After being sent to the wrong day surgery area, we finely arrived and Robin signed in. You could tell Robin was alittle nervous. They assigned her to a room, and I broke out the camera. Took her before pictures...and the nurse brought her in that beautiful gown, that opens in the back. (lol) and in they all came to take blood pressure, start IV's, gave Robin her cocktail. (She really wanted that) They took her down to OR at around 7:30am. At 9:30 or so Dr. Provost came out and said she made it through, book perfect procedure that she was going into the recovery till they have a bed in ICU (an hour or so) where she would stay the night. At around 11am Ms Baker reported that she was still in recovery and she was awake off and on and has been given ice chips... after bugging MsBaker, at 2:30pm (still waiting for a room in ICU) we were allowed to see her.. One at a time, (I only saw her from across the room) but made me feel better to "see" for myself she's O.K.. Robin, Get well sweetie!! and thank you so much for letting me come with you today. It really meant allot to me!!
