Robin 1st let me congratulate you on the awesome weight loss! you are doing great!!! Sorry you feel you are having food issues I guess my advice would be for you to start back with the basics to get back on track. A couple days of liquid diet then soft diet then back to regular dietfocus on the protiens and what goes in your mouth. You have come a long way already and have what it takes to continue. Go for the gold hugs and God Bless Maureen

b>I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all. (unknown author)FROM MY HEART TO YOU ~*~Hugs~*~</b>

Hello AMOS friends! It has been a while since I posted so I thought I would update you on my progress. I am almost 12 weeks post op, and I am feeling terrific! As of last Wednesday, I had lost 92 pounds. I have so much energy I don't know what to do with myself! I can teach all day and still have energy left to spend with my own kids in the evening. I no longer cringe when I see a long corridor. Chairs with arms are still a problem, but my seat belt actually has some slack! I can tie my own shoes, pick things up off the floor, and can wash all my 2000 body parts! I can't say that it has all been easy. I have had some head issues with cravings and wanting to eat all day. Once I ate way too much (once? well...) and I decided I should make myself throw up. I tried, but I can't! So I told myself that I just have to watch what goes in more carefully. I didn't REALLY want to be bulimic, anyway. I have also had some problems with my knee and my right foot and haven't been able to exercise as much as I would like. I am working on these issues, and am gaining so much self-confidence with my success. To those pre-ops who are so worried about pain, what to bring to the hospital, etc., etc.: My surgery just seems like a distant memory. The pain and inconvenience of recovery is a very small price to pay for the improved life I am enjoying now. Concentrate on how much better your life will be once you start losing. Yes, this surgery is "just a tool," but it is my miracle. Love to all,

Dear Robin, Congrats on your surgery:) I just spoke with Stacie Ansell and she told me that you finally had your surgery:) I have been going through "Web Withdrawl" as my DSL line has been down since Thanksgiving. Now all I have to do is catch up:) I know that the first few weeks of liquids gets very boring. But soon you'll be able to eat anything, just not very much:) And don't worry if you get a craving for something, it'll only take a bite or two to get rid of it:) If you have any questions just let me know:) Sending Warm Healing Skinny Christmas Thoughts your way:) ttfn

Robin, It's great to see you made it through your surgery good. I want to wish you the very best. Take care of yourself and your new little stomach, and you are wish to not eat anything except the prescribed liquids right now. It won't last long and before you know it you will be expanding your food choices. God bless you.
