Hi Robin!!! I am so excited about your upcoming surgery! Doctor Provost is THE best.. he's not gonna let anything happen to you. You will breeze right thru this and the pounds will MELT off your body.. Especially in your face! I swear I lost 20 pounds in my face the first week and a half!! hahaha. I am feeling GREAT... just that pesky pulled muscle in my right ribcage is keeping me feeling 110%. Try your best to walk after surgery.. this will make your recoup time go smoother. Dont worry about the NG tube.. you wont even notice it... I was glad to have mine cause it kept me from being nauseated.. Plus it comes out in a few hours after you are awake and stuff. When they take it out.. it just tickles like you have to sneeze... you know. like if you sniffed pepper for a sec. The biggest thing is Breathing deeply. In recovery .. they keep bugging you to BREATHE!! I felt like saying "but I AM breathing!!! I am in a deep sleep so leave me alone!!! hahaha. I guess I was breathing normally but they want you to sound like an obscene phone caller.. So I would start my heavy breathing. They said "you dont go back to your room until you are breathing deeply!!".. That was probably the most annoying thing about the whole surgery.. hahahaha. I was never in any pain..just my muscles felt a little sore... like I overdid it in the garden or did a few sit-ups.. but never any sharp pain. Heck.. if you have experienced childbirth.. this will probably be a breeze for you. This was my FIRST surgery ever so I was quite nervous. Just tell Doctor Provost that Dana Barnes says hello! You will do great sweetie! Stay positive!!! and we can go bikini shopping next summer!! hahahaha love.. DanaTX

Good luck as you take the next step in your weight loss journey and cross over to the other side. This is a giant step, but very, very do-able. When things get challenging, remember, all the good folks on AMOS stand ready to support you now, just as we have up until this point. Sending my very best wishes for a "textbook" surgery and a fast, complication free, recovery. God Bless you.
