Well where to begin.... at the beginning I suppose. I have always had a weight problem as far back as I can remember. I started out at weight watchers when I was 15 and lost 50#. I was married at 17 and maintained my wait until I started having children and my roller coaster began. I did "Tops", "Weights Watchers 2 more times", supervised diet with my physian and my lowest weight was 130. In October of 2009 I started looking at gastric bypass and researching it. In October of 2010 I attended an informational class and then it took me until February of 2011 to decide to make my appointment with my surgeon to start the process. I started seeing the dietian in March of 2011 and saw my surgeon for the first time in April of 2011. To get approved by my insurance company I had to go thru 6 months of supervised weight loss and have a physc eval. I completed all that on Sept 29th 2011 and was approved by my insurance company a few weeks later. I lost 28# during that time and am currently maintaining as I wait for my surgery date to be here, which is December 14th 2011. I begin my liquid diet on November 30th which my surgeon requires me to be on 2 wks prior to my surgery. I am very excited to begin my new life but yet a little nervous also. I am so looking forward to being a healthy weight and regaining my total health again. I will keep you all posted.
