I reached under 300's on 10/22/2009. It seemed like forever. I am 13lbs away from being in the 100lb Century Club. I LOVE joining all these different clubs because that means I have met a BIG accomplishment. KEEPING GOD first has made this process so much more easier to me. He has lifted my spirits when I felt like this tool was not working for me. He has shown me the way that "stalls" are part of this process and its going to happen! I have to look pass that and always know that good will follow any stall. When I look in the mirror I still see that obessed person and I still think I am outrageously "fat". BUT I truly feel better inside and I know better days are coming to stay!! I will keep everyone posted on my progress every month. It seems like these 3 months have flew by!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know, I know it has been awhile since I have posted a blog here. I have been trying to stay focused after surgery and getting back into the working groove. I must say that surgery was a breeze and I had plenty of support in Texas from my OH family. My struggles are getting the proteins in and that seems to be the normal. I will be 8 weeks out next Wednesday and right now I am down 30lbs. This seems to be so slow but I will definitely take it. I am now getting more stares and some compliments on my weight loss. I am still unable to see the weight loss and this sometimes discouraged me. I hope my mind will catch up with my body soon. I want to be in twoterville before month end so please say a prayer for me that this happens. I signed up for a gym so I am now going at least 5xs a week. I will try and blog once a month going forward so I will not get to far behind.

 Hi my wonderful OH family. I have only 3 days left until "D" day!!!I am getting ready to travel for my surgery to Texas and I will be off the boards for about 2 weeks. Its really going to hurt me to be away that long but I will not have access to a computer in Texas. So with that being said please keep me in your prayers for my surgery and HOLD the fort down until I return.

I would like to thank everyone on this site for making these last 6 months of my pre op journey a success!! All of the wonderful encouraging words and PMs I have received over the last month has been so overjoyed and GRATEFUL. Everyone has a good heart on this site and again thanks for your kind words!!!

I am about to pull my hair outttttttttttttttttttttt with this liquid diet. It is very challenging and least to say I feel hungry all the time. I have received so much advice on the main board that I am taking it and running with it. I ask myself is this easy?.....Ummmmm NO.......Am I going to do it?.......Ummmmmm YES.......and the reason is because my EYES ARE ON THE PRIZE. I am ready to get to the other side and I am only 7 days away!!!!

I'm back from Texas. Boy it was HOT in the long horn state.I had to bring out the sunglasses real quick.  So I went over to Dr. Davis office and met him for pre-op. WOW I must say the new office looks nicer than the old office on Fannin. Everyone was soo happy to see me in the office. They all said there's Sabrenia from Sunny Florida. Yep, I am in the house and I said I know some of ya'll got tired of me calling millions of times (lol). I took a picture with Dr. Davis and he just answered any follow up questions that I had. He tried and trick me and told me that the day they scheduled my surgery he will be out of town. I told him that he must was ready to fightbecause I am not rescheduling my surgery. He just started to laugh and I just smirk and gave him the serious look. Then I went over to Memorial Hermann Hospital to do my preop lab. OMG they are very slow. I told them please speed it up because I have a flight to catch. So they had to poke me 3 times to get all the blood they need. I was like WTH is going on because I am terrified of needles plus it hurts. Other than that I did my EKG and XRAY and I was out. One day in TEXAS and now I will be back on 07/28 until 08/06 (post op follow-up). Oh yeah I lost a total of 18lbs pre-op and now I am on the liquids until surgery. I am hoping to get down 12lbs to meet my 30lbs of weight loss which is what the surgeon required, but he was extremely happy with my 18lbs loss. I can not wait ya'll and the countdown begans....It is only 14 more days until SURGERY!!!OOOOOMMMMMMGGGG~~~

Alright ya'll things are really moving for me now. I will be in Texas on Monday to do all my pre op stuff. I will meet the surgeon at 11:30 and then walk over to the hospital to do my pre op test (EKG, Blood work, ultra sound). I just do not know what to do with myself because things are moving sooo fast. I requested for time off from work until 08/11, so hopefully this is enough time for me to heal. Well just wanted to keep ya'll in the loop with my journey. WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO....I'm jumping on the LOOSE WEIGHT train and I am not getting OFF!!!

Everyone it's really true...I got my date from the surgeons office. It's an AMAZING feeling to know that this is going to happen for me! I called my surgeons office yesterday and spoke with Tricia and she squeezed me in with Dr. Garth Davis on 07/29 because she knew I wanted this surgery so bad!!!! So that makes me a July Stapler!! Thanks again for everyones support!!!

R-E-L-I-E-F......is what I am feeling right now. I took a deep breath this morning before calling UHC. The first person I talked to started to read off the criterias and told me I met them all so I asked " what does that mean" she then said you're approved. So I dropped the phone and kept saying ...OMG, OMG, OMG. Now of course I did not believe her so I called back and the next representative said YES, you are approved for surgery. I was like OMG and then I started to do the ELECTRIC SLIDE ya'll. Yeah I took it way back (lol).......I am still in a state of SHOCK and so happy that this is really starting to happen for me. THANKS EVERYONE THAT WAS SUPPORTIVE DURING THIS TIME!!!!!

So here's the deal, I got to be honest with everyone!!! I am a nervous wreck. This got to be the most difficult part by far. All I keep hearing at the moment is the words "wait, wait,wait, pending, pending, pending" and it's all driving me up the WALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So today I called UHC about a hour ago and here's what they told me. We have a pending date of July 31st for Memorial Herman Hospital. So I was like what does that mean? So the  rep told me "the case nurse is still reviewing my case and it will be sometime late next week before I know the official word". I was like WTH?????????So of course I asked "what is the reason for you setting up a pending date?" and she said "that is just part of our procedure, however it does not guarantee approval".....This is driving me nuts. What should I think about this? I am excited I got a pending date but from what I am told it means nothing. Sooooo of course I will be back on the phone bright and early Monday morning to see if there are any updates even though she told me to call in the later part of next week.

**** Thanks everyone for all your support and PM's it has really helped me through this scrutinizing process. arrggghhhh!!!(****.........I am calling on the LORD TO HELP me through this one!!!)      All I can say to those who is getting ready to submit be AWARE of the wait time and the run around you may get from the REPS at the insurance company. It can make you go looney. Now I am starting to wonder how prepared I really am because I never imagined I would be this nervous. I have seen other people comments about their submission to the insurance company but since I was not there yet I never really paid much attention. BIG MISTAKE on my part!!!!!!!!!!!!It is ALLso true what they have said and that is why I am passing it along to you all. PATIENT is a VIRTUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  GIVE ME STRENGTH LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok ya'll am I dreaming or what??? It is 4:00 am and I can not sleep because of the wonderful email I got. A whisper in my ear told me to check my emails because there is a special message for you. So I did and I got mail from my bariatic coordinator telling me she already submitted my paperwork to UHC. So ya'll know I am just "HAPPY GO LUCKY" at the moment. I want to ask so many questions but I refused to ask any questions because this was done by the GRACE OF GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Lord my saviour in Christ for being there for me every step of the way. It's you that gives me the strength to wake up and say THANK YOU JESUS for all you do. In Jesus name...AMEN................................I just had to stop and say a prayer for  the moment because this is happening all in JESUS NAME!!!!!!!!!!!! I will continue to keep everyone posted on my journey and THANKS for your prayers!!!
