My name is Jessica Casey. I am a 30 year old mother of one amazing daughter. She is the love of my life. My husband is an amazing man, who has always supported everything that I have done.
I have been over weight for as long as I can remember. From the time that I was in middle school on. I have always known that I was different then everyone else and always felt like the funny fat girl that was always around. don't get me wrong, I had some really good friends and I dated but I never felt complete.
About a year ago I reached my highest weight of 267 pounds. It stayed consistent and I was told that my weight is why I could not have more kids. I also have diabetes, PCOS, and high cholesterol. At this point I started looking around at places and thought I would never be able to afford the gastric by-pass. Then a man at work had the surgery and I found out that our insurance would cover everything but 3000 of the costs. I thought this is my chance. My mom and I went to all of the classes together and had the surgery 3 weeks apart.
