Doing something different

Jan 14, 2013

So Monday started off great and ended great. I started the Dukan Diet which is basically low fat, low carb, high protein. I ate eggs and canadian bacon for breakfast, 3oz grilled chicken breast for lunch, 3 oz of lean hamburger patty, slices of chicken breast for snack, SF jello for desert. I exercised by just walking for 30 mins. I have 60lbs to lose to get to my ideal weight. When i had the RNY I lost 135lbs I gain the 35 back in 3 years. I am happy that I have lost the 100lbs and kept it off. But I never really reached my goal weight of 155lbs. After careful consideration, I think 155 would be a lot smaller than I would want to be, so I decided to make it to 170 and maintain that weight. I know I can do it. I made up my mind and started the process. I can do this. I decided to weigh myself once a week so that I can stay focused and encouraged when I see the changes on the scale so every Monday at 5:15pm I will weigh myself at my works gym. I am excited about what I am doing. I can't wait to reach my goal and celebrate.

Today Update

Dec 27, 2012

Well yesterday I did pretty good I must say. I am very proud of myself. I ate about 30 grams of carbs for the whole day which is sooo much better than before. I was eating at least 100 grams or more of carbs and about 20 grams of protein. I ate almost 100 grams of protein and 30 grams of carbs yesterday which I am so very happy. I feel like my energy is coming back. I feel great today. I took my multivit, calcium, garlic, b12 and cayenne pills this morning, at snack I am taking my L-glutamine and Chromium Picolinate with my iron pill. Then at Dinner I will take my other calcium with my L-glutamin and Chromium Picolinate, stool softener and bcomplex. I will start exercising tomorrow morning about 30 mins a day everday with my off day on Monday. I am excited that I am really doing well. I knew I could do it. I can't wait to reach my goal. I am so excited about my changes. I will only weigh myself every 2 weeks so that I won't get discouraged.

I have started over

Dec 17, 2012

Good Morning after 3 years out from my surgery, I lost a total of 135lbs but gained back 50 since then. I have started over I will and am reaching my goal within the next 3 months. I am back to basics. I found that I need to cooke for myself instead of eating out. Its challenging when my husband doesn't eat the way I do but I have to start cooking separate meals. I am thinking to start making my own frozen meals and then when I wake up in the morning I will take my meals out put them in my lunch pail so that I can take them to work. This is my goal. I will create my own protein snacks. I am on a mission to get my health back for 2013.
