Beginning....

I have been thinking about having surgery for the past few months but haven't met with the surgeon yet. My PCP has presented my case to him and hopes he can oversee the pre-testing part of it and give a report to the surgeon. I meet with my PCP in a month or so.

I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. I began gaining weight after gave birth to my daughter. Twenty six hours of labor, septicemia, blood loss and I was just never the same! Over time I had more fatigue and pain and slept 18 hours a day, not really eating much and gaining weight. Acupuncture helped with some of the pain and fatigue but the weight is a different story. I really don't eat much to stay the same weight I've been for several years! I have tried but what works for others never works for me and others lose and I gain! 

So, this is the beginning for me. I really don't have much time now to think about it, talk to the surgeon and make up my mind as I am getting to the age where I won't be an eligible candidate anymore! 

Frustrated and frightened. Worried about complications with the surgery. But, maybe after I speak to the doctor, I'll feel a little better.
