I am almost 30 years old and so tired of being over weight and going up and down with my weight. I am considering weight loss surgery as a life style change. I have gotten a job with Johns Hopkins and have no other choice but to get my surgery done at the top hospital in the country. Well then why am I so nervous? I am hearing a lot of negative, discouraging things from some of my closest friends and family. I have not told my parents that I am seriously considering surgery because I know the response I will hear.
I finally got my surgery date on Nov 3rd 2009. I am so excited but still very nervous. I feel like this is something I have to do for me and for my daughter she will be 1 on 9/11/09. I have so many things in life I want to do with her and being this size really holds me back from many things.
Now I still need to break it to my family sometime before Nov which wont be easy.
