It's Been Awhile

Feb 09, 2012

It's been awhile since I posted. Its amazing how different my life is now versus pre-op. I have a job I love and so much is happening in my life I am just trying to keep up!:) I work at a CIL (Center For Independent Living) where I work in Quality assurance and Information and Referral which I was recently promoted too. I am working on my MBA and hopefully to be done in December. I am still not dating though, now sure I want to yet, though I get hit on alot which I am definitely NOT use to. i do alot of volunteering now as a mentor and just agree to become a board member of a organization I belong too. I can honestly say, I really love m life right now and it seems that so many opportunities have come my way recently, I am like God, I don't know what I did to deserve all this but I am so thankful.
I have been maintaining a weight of 160 now for the past 6 months and I was at a low of 155 but that didn't last long. i can wear a size 8-12 depending on whether its jeans or stretch material. I feel at times I have gained inches but my weight has maintained. I really want to reach my goal of 150 but I am content if I can maintain this and NO higher..lol. I now do Zumba, body pump and walk 3 miles a day. All of this 6 days a week sometimes less. I normally don't do it all in one day but one day I did and I tracked 10 miles that day on my FitBit.
We have our annual Bariatric Ball in March and this year my dress is a size 10, last year when I went to the ball it was a 16, and pre-op the year before that I was wearing a size 26 dress. I still can't fathom that I had RNY almost 2 years ago in April.

I cut and dye my hair, thinking of going natural
