Started Hampton Roads Virginia Support

Today I started a new Hampton Roads Virginia Support Group. I just couldn't find a local support group and thought well I guess I will start one. I think it's going to be a big hit and this will give locals a chance to meet and get to know each other.

I'd like to welcome you to the Bariatric Buddy Group! I invite you to make a post and intoduce yourself to everyone, ask any questions you may have, share your experiences, and support and encourage one another in this life long journey we are on.

My goal is to provide quality support, encouragement, acceptance and information to all members. This group welcomes those who are considering weight loss surgery, pre-op, post-op, veterans, etc. We also welcome all wls patients, regardless of the procedure you had performed.

I think I've gained weight. I've been eating so much. I guess everyone is telling me eat eat eat, because I won't be able to soon. I guess I really shouldn't worry about.

I have a surgery date and I'm beyond excited!

Diana called from the surgery office and said the Doctor gave the go ahead, I'm beyond excited and my date is 01/27/10. It's the beginning of my new life and I can't believe it's going to start next month!

This bitch is getting ready to get skinny ( just had to say it lol)

UA is bad again.... ahhhhh

Re did my UA yesterday and it came back bad again... doctor won't be in until Friday... still no surgery date. I wonder what the doc does if the UA is bad and why is it bad??? Frustrating.

Redid Urinalyisis today...

I think it will come back just fine. Maybe I'll get a surgery date today... we shall see. P.S. Kristy sounds alot better today. I'm hoping this is a good sign... she will 2 weeks post op today. She is really missing food in general. I guess you can fix the tummy... but, fixing the brain is very very hard. Thanks guys for all the encouragemetnt to us both.

Trying to do research about life following WLS

I'm trying to pour over all the blogs and find information about life after the WLS, especially the weeks following. My sister is literally feeling like she is dying and wants to go to the ER. I'm really unsure of how much more my sister can handle all of this. If I can help get her through these initial weeks she will be fine. I just hope that once I have my surgery, It will be alittle easier for me. But, who knows. I just have to be positive. I just want my surgical date. Everything is done on my end and I'm just waiting for a call from the Doctors office. I really want Diana to call soon. Support group meeting was great and I really enjoyed, I hope to go every month... I just hate the drive there.
