My name is Siana, I am 27 years old with a fantastically beautiful 8 year old daughter Kaitlinn.. and my own personal GI Joe husband Steven.. Steve and I have been together for about 10 years now, he loved me when I was thin, loved me when I was fat... The army is our way of life, 4 deployments have rocked our family but it is strong.... I was offered by my PCP to look into WLS.. this is the second time now, but the first time it is the right time in my life.. I am unable to have anymore children so I figured why not focus on my self a little bit.. I jumped through all the hoops for the gastric bypass.. I wanted the gastric bypass like no other.. however my surgeon is deploying and is choosing not to do any gastric bypass until after the 1st of the year, plus I was 10th on the list, which in Army terms ment at least a year on the waiting list.. I choose to switch over to the sleeve October 2nd since that would put me at 5th on that list.. October 14th I was called to go on the liquid diet.. but ended up getting the GB out first then 3 weeks later on November 18th I have my Sleeve!!! Life has surely changed since I have been sleeved.. instead of complaining about my back hurting from walking too long I complain that my butt hurts because I have no padding on my butt.. I complain that I cant find any clothes not because they are too small or uncomfortable but because they are too big! My daughter and I walk together and have some very "serious" talks... she is 8... I have people notice me as part of society, weather they open doors or ask me if they can help me when I am struggling.. why not ask the fat girl? she needed more help! lol..
