I faxed the records request to my current PCP on Monday and dropped of the request to the old PCP today. I'll have to check in with Dr. C's office in a week to see if Smith's office got a copy to them. In other news, my boyfriend on Sunday asked for some time apart so he could deal with some things going on in other parts of his life.
Initial consult!!!

I had my consultation today! Everyone in that office is SO nice! And funny too! Charity looked over my paperwork and said I'd see everyone but Lisa, the nurse practitioner. I talked to Erin first, and she explained about the Medifast pre-op diet that's required. Eh, fun. NOT! She went over the post-op eating stages and how she'd go over all this in more detail once I got ins. approval. She did say that Anthem is pretty quick to approve, like within 48 hours! Wowzers! Charity addressed the things I'll need for them to submit, 2 yrs. prior records, psych eval, program fee and I think that's it. Not bad at all! And it sounds like the psych eval should be no big deal. I've seen reports of crazy tests, etc. No such thing with the psych they work with. Cool! Now I just have to get the records from my former PCP.

Well, I go to Dr. Curry's seminar tomorrow night. My boyfriend went with me. I'm pretty certain Dr. C will be the surgeon I use when/if I get banded. I'm excited and nervous to get this journey started. But I've read and seen such great things about Dr. Curry, I can't imagine not using him. And he's also the surgeon my PCP suggested as she's has several patients who've used him and done well with the band.
