I've been slacking on the water lately ( I know that's bad) and I hadn't had a bowel movement in four days.  I felt so bloated and plugged up, so last night I took a laxative before bed.  Well, this morning I've been on the pot a LOT and it is not a pleasant feeling, but things are definitely moving now!!!!  I've never had a baby, but this has to be close to labor pains!!!!!!

Three weeks and two days post op and have only lost 16 pounds.  I feel like a failure and I don't know what I could be doing wrong!!!!  My surgeon says I'm a lightweight and that I'll probably only lose 10 pounds a month and that I'm doing well, but I just wish it would go faster!!!!

Well, the big day has come and gone and it couldn't have gone better!  I have no pain, no nausea.....I feel fine!!!!  My surgery was on Tuesday and if not for my family and friends I would have went back to work on Friday.   I'm doing fine with the liquids and not hungry at all....I've found that I actually like broth, so that helps since I can only have broth, ff skim milk, and water until Friday.  Can't wait to get this drain out, though.  It seems to slow me down since I'm afraid I'll pull it out or something.  That comes out Friday too, so I won't have to wait long.  Thank you all for all of your well wishes and prayers!!!!

Spent the day at the University.  (8:00 to 3:00)  Quite a day.  First I was supposed to go and have labs drawn, but I'm so dehydrated that they poked me four times and finally they tried my hand to get some blood and got about two vials and then nothing.  They had me go to my other appointments and then wanted me to come back, so I then went and had my bone density tests, gallbladder ultrasound, chest x-ray, anesthesia consult, consult with dietician, consult with surgeon and then back to have labs done.  STILL COULDN'T GET ANY.  So they sent me upstairs and had some "specialist try to get it and finally on the sixth try she got it.  My arms and hands hurt!  All in all, it was a good day.  Everything looks good and my gallbladder has no stones, so everything it great.  I'm set for October 16th and couldn't be happier!  So much to get done before then, so at least I'll be occupied!  I'll also be drinking a LOT so I'm not dehydrated on the 16th.  This sucks!

Started my liquid diet today.  Two more weeks until my surgery!!!  Two weeks without food seems hard to imagine, but I'll get through it.  Today hasn't been bad.  I think I'll be getting pretty hungry around Friday.  Hope I don't fail.

I have a date.  October 16th!  I have an appointment October 5th for my dietary consult, lab work, bone density test and gallbladder ultrasound.  Only three weeks away!

I'm approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  My packet was sent to insurance on Monday, September 17th, and today (Sept. 20), I got a letter in the mail from insurance saying I've been approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  THAT WAS FAST!!!!!!!!  Don't have a date yet, but probably early October.  I'm so excited!
