Well it took a little while but I am approved!!!! I found out about 20 minutes ago. I am so excited, knowing my life is about to get better. I am so happy.

I was just wondering who has had to go thru TennCare (BlueCare) to get approved. I was wondering how long it took and who all got approved after their first letter. Im not trying to be nosey I was just wondering.

I just know that this is my week to find out if I am approved or not. It has to be. Wish me luck, I just know that everything will be okay but my next post will say approved or denied. (HOPEFULLY APPROVED)!!!!!!!Well I just added to this post today is Friday March 27,2009 and my case is still pending. I am sorry to complain all the time but I just dont understand I have been Morbidly obese since actually 2003 , I  have high blood pressure, I have to take a pill to slow my heart down (because of obesity), I have cronic back pain because of obesity that will lead to more surgeries if I dont lose the weight. And for those of you that dont know back surgery HURTS!!!!!!!!I dont want to have to go thru that again. My chloresterol is terrible,Im on meds for it but its still a little high. And not long ago I found out I have spinal stenosis and I am developing RA, and I am have hypothyroidism which is currntly under control. Honestly, I think my doc needs to take me out and shoot me like a broken down horse. (LOL) I have to laugh so I wont cry. I just want to start with wls and that would solve a whole lot of my problems. Then move on to my next problem. Well all I can do is pray that BlueCare TennCare will understand what a blessing this will be for me and finally approve me. I am so sorry to be complaining 24/7 I just dont understand whats the hold up. Thanks for listening.

1.) I went to the siminar on January 10, 2009.

2.) I went to see Jana Caroll Jan.23, 2009 @ 12:30 for my psych eval.

3.) I went to see Dr.Olsen for my consult on Feb. 27,2009 everything went great!

4.) Dr.Olsen sent all my paperwork into my insurance on March 2, 2009. I was impressed they were fast!  

5.) A nurse at my insurance company review my files March 9, 2009

6.) Today is March 19, 2009 and my file is still pending   
 
7.) On April 1st I was denied because a paper was missing.

8.) On April 9th the paper thatwas missing was submitted.

9.) On April 13th I was approved!!!!!

10.) On April 14th I was scheduled for surgery on May 18th Yay!!!!!!

11.) On May the 13th I have to go to Nashville for preadmission...

12.) May 18th Surgery date!!!! First day of the rest of my life.

 That was then 1989 my husband and me... If I dont do something the outcome cant be good. Thats why I am praying for WLS. I know Dr.Olsen can save me.

I talked to BlueCare this morning and they have all their imformation in. So maybe by monday I will know something. My
 
request was sent in on the 2nd of March and the lady at TennCare said they have 14 days to reach a decesion. So that will
 
be Monday. I am still scared to death they will turn me down. But I need to try to think positive. But thats so hard to do. If I get
 
approved it wll be probly May before I get to have the surgery. I was hoping to wear shorts this summer and be out more,
 
but who knows maybe I will lose enough his summer to wear shorts. Anythings possible!!! That is one of my goals besides
 
getting approved. Im still praying for approval, I hope my friends will pray for me too.

Hello everyone I  am still waiting, although it has not been long it feels like forever. Im hanging in hoping and praying everyday to hear good news. Maybe it will come soon. Im gonna give it till next week then Im gonna start calling and checking on the status. I just have to take it one day at a time and breathe....lol... I am pathetic I am  terrible at waiting lol. I was not blessed with patients.

 
I just found out that my papers and all my information has been sent to my insurandce company. Way to go Dr.Olsen
and
the ladies that work for him on the fast work!!!!!!!!!!! Now the butterflies are all in my stomach and I am nervous. I am
 
impatient I know I just needto slow down and BREATHE..... I am just so excited to be one step closer and God willing I will
 
be approved. I am just so happy to be so close to a new healthier life. Thanks to all my friends who have talked me
 
thru to this far.....Now I just need to slow down and breathe...

#1.........First of all my main goal is to be approved for surgery. 

#2..........I would love to have my surgery by the end of March, but I know it will most likely be in April.

#3..........I want to wear shorts and sleeveless shirts this summer,it has been years since I have done that.

#4..........I want to lose enough weight that I will feel good about myself when my husband and I renew our vows

#5 .........I want to get to my goal weight which is 131 within  a year.

                 I MIGHT AS WELL DREAM BIG!!!!!!!!!!!! ( OR HOPE )
