Mercy General

"The nurses and staff were so friendly and kind. They were ON THE SPOT with their care. The respiratory therapists, phelbotomists and other staff were friendly and timely in their care. It was the BEST care I've ever received in a hospital stay."

Brian Gluck

"As he walked through the door, I thought Dr. Gluck was going to be another one of those \"jogs-ten-miles-a-day-eats-only-tofu-and-condescends-to-anyone-who-is-fat\" type of surgeons. He is very physically fit and handsome - everything in any guy that has always been my bane! But he was so kind and compassionate to me and treated me with such respect that I felt really comfortable. He was not condescending or patronizing in anyway. His entire STAFF is like that as well - they all treated me with compassion and care. They actually look you in the eye! I was impressed by all his credentials, and by his surgical statistics. My only complaint was that, when I called for my initial appointment, I specifically said I wanted a LAP-BAND, and his receptionist never told me he doesn't do those. So I was very disappointed, at first, to find out that he would only perform the RNY on me. But he was extremely informative about the whole before/during/after of the procedure, and I left with so much information I almost felt overwhelmed (but it was a good thing). I'm confident because he's not a \"cut-you-up-and-kick-you-out-the-door-with-a-one-page-diet\" kind of doc. His office has extensive support that he REQUIRES his patients to be involved in: nutrition counseling, support groups, excercise counseling and frequent visits to his office. He really keeps track of his patients. At this point, I'm giving him TWO THUMBS UP."
