Hoooray!!! Well at thirteen months out I finally made it to normal BMI!!! I am wearing a size 8 jeans and feel fabulous!!! I never thought I would make it here. I have 14 lbs to my original goal. I don't know if I will make it there or not. I am very happy with my size now but I do not want to gain any back so I will keep my eye on the original goal. I am now looking forward to plastic surgery and am thinking of Mexico for my surgery. Have looked into Dr. Sauceda and think I may be going with him. This has been quite the journey so far and am excited about the future.

Well I am 8 months out today and I have lost 99lbs!!!!! I feel great but the wt loss has really slowed and I am impatient to reach goal!!! It will come with time. This still remains the best thing I have ever done for myself and I should have done it years ago.
I have so much more energy than I have had in years! I can go up and down the stairs at work without difficulty and I couldn't/wouldn't even try to go up or down them before.
I have friends now that are headed down the path to wt loss surgery and I am soooo excited for them to start the trip that will change their lives forever.

4 days until surgery

Wow!! Only 4 days until surgery. I am soooo excited. I am doing my preop shrink the liver diet. Have all my Christmas presents wrapped. Sent my packages to my Colorado kids. gettin the laundry done. House clean but will have to go over it again on tuesday. Hoping the weather wont be bad as we are expecting ice and snow on tuesday.

insurance, please approve me!!!!

Well its 10/13/09 and insurance has had my submission since the first week of September. The insurance gal at my surgeons office calls every week to check with them!! They requested more clinical information on 10/6/09. I am still waiting and it is sooo nerve racking. If it was going to be a sure yes it wouldn't be so bad, but not knowing what their answer will be is driving me nuts. I did the 6 months of diet and exercise counseling, went to see the psychiatrist, had a million labs, tests etc. My cardiologist says I really need it and thinks it stupid they make you wait! My PCP says I'm ready. I am ready for the surgery in mind and body. I know this is something I must have to see my grand kids grow up.
