Day 6 and counting....

Apr 02, 2009

It's thursday, and I've been 'fasting' now for 5 days.  This morning I am down 9 pounds already!  I am comfortable with the diet so far, and that helps alot!  I have had moments of temptation, but I keep looking PAST the moment and into the future where all this work will have paid off.....you know, short term pain, long term gain....short term gain, long term pain.  I have to get out of the moment where I am feeling tempted, in order to move beyond it.  I'm taking this one day at a time too.

That being said, I cannot believe I will be having surgery in just 6 days!    This is going by fast for me and I am pleased with the results so far!  I love soup, always said one day I would write a book and it would include all my favorite soup recipes.  This diet is giving me the opportunity to enjoy more of that, as I am allowed to incorporate SOME veggies into my broths.  My sister is asking for some recipes, so I may share them on here as well.

I am so amazed by the love and support that I am receiving from family and friends too!  I've always been the giver....and 'taking' for me meant taking-care-of-others.    But wise counsel has helped me with this, and now I am allowing myself to recieve the love and encouragement they have been waiting to give!  God is GOOD, ALL the time!

Being off my  medications and vitamins now, has not been a great thing, as I am feeling under the weather....sinus, headache, sniffles, sore throat....don't want to be sick for my big day!    Also some pain issues, and I limited to tylenol now (isn't that bad for the liver?).  Oh, well, praying for divine healing!
Meanwhile, if anybody is reading this and has some food ideas to share, please do!  I would love to hear from you.
