Well, I am just starting the journey of discovering WLS. I am 30 years old and weight 450 lbs...ugh...Back in June of 2006 I had to have my gallblader taken out and the surgeon that did that procedure also does RNY's. He highly recommended I look into it, but at the time I had no insurance. Well luckily hubby got a new job and the insurance coverage started Jan 1st 2007. I called the insurance and it seems I have to do a six month diet through a physician I have a PCP appt set for January 5th and hopefully this doctor will be on board with this plan. I can't see why he wouldn't. Just never had great luck with doctors and hope this one isn't a butt head. lol
