Attila Nakeeb, M.D. Bariatrics Bariatric Center

I first had a consultation with the BTC...however, I was not impressed. Found out (thru this site) about Froedtert. Had my consultation with Dr. Nakeeb. My first impression was that he seemed young, and VERY confident. I since had my surgery on 2/2/01. Not only was Dr. Nakeeb a wonderful surgeon, but also very caring. Both him and Deb, came to check on me throught my hospital stay. I have nothing but good things to say about the whole staff! The follow-up care is mostly done with the nurse practitioner, Deb. I cannot say enough about her. She is wonderful!! I no that the entire staff is extremly busy, but I always get me calls returned, etc. I rate them a 10+++. I have only met my surgeon once so far but I was very impressed by him. He is smart and kind and funny. He took his time with me, he was very patient with my many questions even though he's probubly answered the same ones dozens of times. The office staff that I have worked with so far are wonderful. Helpful and friendly. Very encouraging. I didn't have anything that I didn't like about him so far. He emphasizes after care a great deal. The Medical College of Wisconsin has an entire staff put together just for the gastric bypass surgery, a dietician, an excercise psysiologist, a plastic surgeon, a psychiatrist, a physician's assistant, and a few others I'm sure I've missed. He really addressed all the risks, very straight forwardly. I rate him as wonderful!!! Both his competence and bedside manner are great. I can hardly wait to talk to him more.

My surgeons were Dr. Nakeeb and Dr. Wallace. They are TRULY the BEST! Very supportive, helpful, considerate! Dr. Wallace is very serious and straight forward, but in a positive sense. Dr. Nakeeb is young and very funny, a breath of fresh air after having the surgery!

The office staff are all very helpful, and the nurses I had during my hospital stay couldn't have been better!

When I went in for my initial counsult, it was a group "class" where we got a binder that was FULL of information, from the surgery description, the staff names, risks and benefits to post op diet, etc.

I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Dr. Nekeeb and Dr. Wallace!

Well think I finally got the surgeon figured out! I will be having lap surgery with Dr. Nakeeb and Dr. Wallace in Milwaukee. Met with both of them on Monday and I was very impressed with them and the whole program there! They seem to be really organized and are extremely helpfull in all aspects. Laura is who you deal with during your contacts and she is awesome! Very helpful and returns your calls immediately!

I haven't actually met with Dr. Nakeeb yet. My original physician was Dr. Schulte and he was great...but Dr. Nakeeb specializes in LAP procedures and this is what I prefer so I get to meet him on Thursday the 14th when I am there for my pre-op tests.

Dr Nakeeb is a great surgeon, with a vey freindly and outgoing personality. He is surrounded by professionals that help you every step of the way. He was honest with me regarding possible outcomes so I could make informed decisions for myself. My impressions of him haven't changes at all, if anything I am even more convinced that this was the best thing for me. His staff is wonderful. There isn't a thing that I didn't like about Dr. Nakeeb. His staff (I'm speaking of the office staff, not the NP'S or medical staff)could have been a little more helpful when it came to doing my appeal. It took me several phone calls to get my medical records so I could do my appeal. They will not do it for you.

I was given moral support and very specific and easy to understand instructions on what to expect and how to handle things as they came up post op from the medical staff. Future patients should be aware that Dr. Nakeeb will tell it straight so if your looking for sugar coating go elswhere. My overall rating for Dr. Nakeeb and his staff from 1 - 10 is a great big 10! I couldn't begin to thank him enough for giving me back my life!

My surgeon's name is Dr. Attila Nakeeb at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Nakeeb is a genuine and caring doctor. I have total confidence in his abilities. I did have several complications and I have to say that I trusted him throughout and still have confidence in him. He is exceptionally well-trained.

his office staff is professional and friendly. They seem to know all of their patients personally. You feel comfortable when you need to come in for a visit.

What do I like least about Dr. Nakeeb? I can't say anything negative about him or his attention to me. He has been thorough and compassionate. When ever I need him, he is there.

I don't know how he might have to emphasize the importance of aftercare to his other patients, but I have made my role in recovery and my weightloss very active. I am pro-active and when he promps me to pay more attention to something I do. he knows when to be subtle or straight forward.

Bedside manner is exceptional. I think most people don't know how to be patients. If you don't know what questions to ask, then how is a soctor supposed to know what to tell you? I made sure to be inquisitive and informed. Dr. Nakeeb was happy to include me in all aspects of my care. I just had to ask.

12/13/00--First appointment with him is January 15, 2001. Can't wait!

4/6/01--Was very impressed with Dr. Nakeeb. He answered all my questions, drew a diagram, and explained everything!

MY FRIST IMPRESSION WAS HE SEEM TO KNOW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT,LIKE HE DONE BILLIONS.
THE HOSPITAL STAFF WAS GREAT.DR. SCHULTE VERY MUCH EMPHASIZE ON AFTER CARE.

My first impression was this guy was how confident he seemed. He was very friendly and put me at ease right away.
I had a list of questions and he answered all my questions during his explaination of the surgery. His staff has
been really wonderful with my numerous phone calls. Always very considerate and thoughtful with getting you answers
to any questions you might have.

Dr. Nakeeb was upfront with all the risks involved, and I liked that. Altogether I rate him pretty high. I'll let
you know more when I have surgery
