I got my procedure done Monday, July 15th at the Bay Bariatric Center with Dr Tersigni. Everyone was great, from the registration desk to the office receptionist. Dr Tersigni really knows what he's doing and answered all of my questions. The anesthesiologist was wonderful too. I loved the "calming" medicine he gave me while waiting to go into surgery. :)
I actually have two phone number for the patient advocate, well she's a registered nurse too, and I can call her seven days a week if I need too. I would highly recommend this facility in Coos Bay Oregon. The center has 1 of only 5 "Centers of Excellence" in Oregon. That isn't just a one time recognition but you have to earn the award each year.

What a wonderful surgeon and team. I felt so comfortable going into surgery, with all the education that is provided for his patients, and the time he takes to talk to you, I couldn't have asked for anything more! He Rocks!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE My Dr and his staff....the girls in the office are all caring and compassionate and want to help you succeed in this journey. AJ is the best and has helped me so much on this long road to good health. Robin is a roll model for all of us.....
I have had some rough times, but with their continued help, it will all be in the past soon. Dr. T is doing my revision from LapBand to RNY on 4/26/11. I am so excited to have my Band removed, NO more fills & unfills, NO more acid reflux, NO more throwing up, NO more slimming!

Dr. Tersigni is a very quiet man. He is very good at what he does and is almost always available to answer questions. He has a wonderful staff, A.J. is great for food questions and Robin his Nurse has been through bypass herself and is available 365 days a year 24 hours a day. I couldn't have asked for a better place to go to have surgery.

So far I love Dr. Tersigni! He answered all my questions and made me feel welcome! He was very detailed about the things I will be going through. The office staff were very friendly and helpful.

Dr. Tersigni is not my original surgeon that did my lapband. However, he took on my case and is going to revise me from band to sleeve! I met him one time and he was nice. He joked that he was going to leave my port in me as a "souvenir." haha

Dr. Tersigni helped me with my appeal to my insurance company by participating in a peer to peer review and speaking on my behalf via phone to a panel of doctors at my third level appeal. I finally won on an external review. I hope to have more positive things to report about Dr. Tersigni after my surgery!

Update after surgery: Dr. Tersigni was able to remove my band and revise me to a VSG in one surgery. I have had no complications at this point (2 weeks out). My only "complaint" is that he is very quiet and I was only able to talk to him for a brief moment before surgery and when he checked on me post surgery in the hospital. I am looking forward to checking in with him at my first pre-op appt.

I am very thankful to Dr. Tersigni for taking me on as a patient!

I really like my surgeon, he has a nice bedside manner and has always made me feel like he genuinely cares about his patients. everyone at his office is very nice and robin and a.j. especially make you feel very comfortable.whenever you need something, she is right there to help out. i call and leave her a message and she gets back to me right away and takes care of what ever needs to be. the girls at the front desk sometimes seem a little busy and/or disconnected from the patient but never rude. the nurse takes a while to warm up to you, but once she does you can see she is a very nice person. we like to joke around with her to get her to come out of her shell. but overall, everyone i have come in to contact with in the office has always made me feel welcome. and as far as dr T being a good dr , i feel he is very good at what he does and aj is very good at what he does. they make a good team. sandra

A kind man. He did a great surgical job and his team of professionals has been terrific and supportive. I haven't seen him personally since the post-op hospital visit though.

I did the Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy with Duodenal Switch procedure with Dr Tersigni September 29, 2009 weighing in at 430#, now 4/5/2010 at 320# & looking forward to the next 12 months....
Dr Tersigni really knows his medical stuff, a little lacking on the bedside manners but his staff: AJ-PA, Robin-Nurse, Wendy-scheduler, & the rest of the staff all are the best & truly have YOUR concerns #1.
