Dr. ROWITZ AND HIS STAFF ARE A GREAT GROUP. THEY ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIOMS AND GIVE ME A CHANCE TO EXPRESS MY FEARS AND CONCERNS. THEY DID ALL THE PAPER WORK IN THERE OFFICE AND KEEP ME UP TO DATE WILL THE APPOINTMENTS THAT I NEEDED TO HAVE TURNED IN FOR INSURENCR CO. AND THEY CALL TO CHECK ON ME WHEN I GOT HOME AFTER MY SURGERY. MY FOLLOW UP APPT. ARE ALWAYS ENCOURAGING AND HELPFUL. DR. ROWITZ AND HIS STAFF ARE A GOD SENT AND I THANK THEM FOR ALL THEIR HELP AND SUPPORT

He knows what he is doing and will do the best he can for you but in turn you need to do just what the he says. If you want good results listen to him. the people in his office are great as well. I have always been treated with the utmost respect. I give his name to people that ask me who did the surgery. I have not had any issues or problems from the surgery that alot of people I know have. I have not even had to have the gallbladder removed or even had a hernia. Was waiting for one of them to hit me so that I could have that tummy tuck.. oh well Thank God for Dr. Oliphant and his team..

The following is my honest opinion of Dr. Rowitz. However, you should research whoever you choose for your surgeon. There are state regulatory agencies that oversee and document problems with doctors. I contacted the SC Board of Medical Examiners to research Dr. Rowitz, and was pleased with the information I found......rnrnI like Dr. Rowitz' bedside manner most of all. Very charming, listens to all your questions, acts as if he has absolutely nowhere to be except with you. I don't know if he is the best surgeon in town, but I do believe he is a good and competent surgeon .... rnrnHis office staff were very helpful. Marcia was my lifeline during the insurance approval process. She always seemed glad to hear from me (all 4000 times I called!) ...rnrnDr. Rowitz actually tried to talk me out of the surgery for a time because of a blood disorder I have. He sent me to MUSC for an in-depth blood analysis, which showed that I was not at any higher risk for bleeding than anyone else. That was the only way he would do the surgery. ...rnrnMy friends and I asked everyone we knew in the medical field - nurses, surgical techs, other doctors - about Dr. Rowitz. Some said they wouldn't have him cut their toenails, and others said he's wonderful. My favorite remark was 'he can be a jerk sometimes to the nurses, but as a surgeon he's no better or worse than anybody else' ....rnrnWhat I KNOW, though, is that I was very pleased with my care during and after surgery. My husband was impressed that Dr. Rowitz spoke to him just before surgery, then just over 2 hours later, he was back to tell hubby that all went very well. ...rnrnI gladly recommend Dr. Rowitz. If I had it to do over, I would choose him again.

After attending 3 different seminar's with 3 different surgeon's.. I've decided on Dr. Rowitz.. I like him right away.. he seems down to earth and most importantly, he seems approachable. 10/26/06... Had my consultation with Dr R. everything went EXTREMELY well and I'm scheduled for surgery for 11/27/06 ... I joined a local support group and some of the women in the group went to Dr R... they had nothing but nice things to say about him... Which puts me at ease!!

Dr. Rowitz has been wonderful. I felt comfortable with him right away. He is easy to talk too and makes you feel better about yourself. rnrn

He is a wonderful doctor ! I first met Dr. Rowitz @ his seminar he did . The seminar was so interesting I took 7 pages of notes . He is very explainable . Then when I saw him @ his office I had many questions and he answered everyone and continued to ask me if I had anymore questions . \" I like it when the doctor ask you if you have any more questions \". Dr. Rowitz also has a graet PA-C and her nane is Marylee . The office staff is wonderful too . They are very nice when you call and they listen to what I ask and get back with me very fast . I'd refer anyone to Dr. Rowitz's !

My first impression of him was that he was a very busy man but nice. After the first consult I reschedule to talk to him and he let me know in no uncertain terms that I had to do exactly as he told me to or he would not do the surgery, which is okay because I felt confident that he knew what he was doing. I would rate him a 10. He is a humerous man not in telling jokes but in his actions. But very nice.

Dr. O is the best. He does a great job screening before surgery and will tell you straight out if he thinks this is right for you or not. He makes sure you know this is a life changing event. He is very blunt, which can put some people off, but I appreciate his honesty. I was hospitalized last week with a complication not directly related to the surgery, and he was there to take care of me in the hospital. One other thing he emphasized before surgery, he will be my doctor for life because of this surgery.
His office staff is the best. Anne, his nurse, is an angel. Once she meets you, she'll always remember your name. She is the front line for getting help from the office and you can always count on her.
