He has a lot of experience. Michelle, his assistant is one of his patients and she is always on top of things. I am happy that I have a surgeon that is closer. I was driving four hours vs ninety minutes now. I am so ready for my surgery on November 8th at one p.m.

He is a very caring doctor, I truly believe he does this because he realizes how many lives he touches and wants to make a difference. He has monthly support meetings the second Monday of every month. It is so encouraging to hear 70-100 people every month
telling about how this is the best decision they have ever met, and they adore their doctor and so do I. I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful and experienced doctor.

my first impression of him was good. he was a very friendly, kind person. you can tell that his staff loves him. His staff is helpful and very busy.

I like Dr.G right from the start. He seems a little busy now.. Haven't gone back to see him since 3 months after my surgery.The staff is impatient, and sometimes a little snappy. My Dr.just got too busy. Talk to people who have had the surgery, you'll get to them first, and not have to wait on the dr. He doesn't emphasize after care at all, as far as I've noticed, personally. He addresses the risks perfectly.. He covered everything that I needed to know.They have the support group.. it was pretty much the pre-op people that were always there. They should have found everything out when he addresses everything in a group and then personal meeting he has w/ each new pre-op patient.I really liked dr.G, he just got busy, and I felt like I was being shoved out of the way. Both surgical comp and bedside manner are great.

My first impression of Dr. Gorospe was ok. I felt like I was rushed a little but I understand he is a very busy man. I did feel comfortable with him performing my surgery. His office staff is awesome. I didn't feel like I got enough attention afterwards. He did inform me well of the risks of the surgery. Overall I would rate him a 10 and say that his surgical competence is better.

he is very informed and very friendly. gives a lot of good info and is very caring. tells you what you might expect.

have only seen him once. but my daughter-in-law works with him at the hospital and she thinks highly of him and said she would recommend him to anyone. he did her gall bladder surgery.

My husband David had the surgery on September 23rd 2002. We really liked both doctors. Dr. Gorospe did his surgery and was great. Our experience with him has been a life changing experience. AMAZING!!!! The staff has really been great to us. Any questions we had they answered gladly. The doctors and staff seemed to be really over worked BUT very appricated. We would refer him to anyone. The aftercare Information and program is wonderful. We were reading for days. The doc's NEVER kept any risk or side effect form us. We saw Dr.G everyday David was in the hospital. I had way more questions than David did. Dr.G didn't even mind answering questions I forgot to answer when he was in the room, I followed him down the hall. The way I look at it is that we are paying him for his expertice if we have any questions I'm getting them answered. They never minded all of my questions. Our, I say our because I was going through it almost as much as he was, overall experience was EXCELLENT!!! We couldn't have asked for a better doctor. In our opinion he's a 12.

Dr. Gorospe has a very compassionate disposition as far as obeisit people are concerned. I have gone to other physicians and they were very cold, callus and even down right rude. I did not find this with Dr. Gorospe at all. he and all of the staff where wonderful. When i went in for the first time, his assistant, Michelle was so
kind to me. I could not stand all all due to the weight. There was no hurtful remarks or ugly looks from her or the staff. I was shocked after attending a host of other doctors. She was open and willing to share with me her experience with the surgery and how great i would feel after the weight loss. They all were very encouraging. I was given the full picture of the pros and cons of the surgery. But i had already made up my mind before i got there because i had so many other people at my work place to have the surgery. My closest friend had the surgery and at the rate she was loosing weight and all the pros she gave me convinced me that this was something i needed to do for myself. My overall experieice was wonderful. This was the first major surgery i had ever had so everyone was wonderful at letting me know what to expect at every step. I felt i was well educated and informed throughout the entire process. I definitely would recommend Dr. Gorospe to anyone who would consider this proceedure.

Great office staff. I loved them. This is more than just a job to them.

I had heard that he didn't speak very good english, yet I could understand him and was surprised how well he spoke english, being a foreigner, but he does have a strong accent.

Monthly support group.

He was very calm and honest & straight forward about risks.

I would rate him a ten.

Surgical Competence.

I feel like I have not met the doctor yet. We were allowed less than 5 minutes for the first visit, and as far as I am aware, no other visits are scheduled before surgery. So about the doctor, I am going on reputation alone. If you are looking for personal attention from the doctor himself....better find another one. The office staff seems very nice. Since I have not had this surgery yet, will let you know what the after care is like.
