I had a very positive experience with Dr. Webb, his attention to detail was comforting and his bedside manner is very warm and inspires confidence.

My first impression of Dr. Webb is that he is a soft spoken southern gentleman. Very down to earth and a concerned physician.

Dr Webb's office staff were very helpful and pleasant. Dr. Webb's WLS centers staff are great also, especially Lois. She has been so pleasant and helpful.

Dr. Webb has a Lap WLS center for his patients aftercare along with him overseeing the monthly and every 3 month blood work results.

It was mandatory to attend a seminar where the risks of the Gastric bypass and lap band surgery were discussed.

I would rate Dr. Webb exceptional. Dr. Webb possess both a great bedside manner and surgical competence.

I met with Dr. Webb on 02-17-06. He was very personable. He was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions completley. He stressed the risks of surgery and was very serious about same. The office staff is very nice and professional as well. Dr. Webb has a kind bedside manner. He is very specific in his aftercare program. He does expect commitment from his patients.

Dr. Webb performed an adjustable gastric lap band on 04-14-06. I am 5 days post op and will see him tomarrow. Each day keeps getting better and better. Other than surgery discomfort, I have experienced no complications.

I would recommend Dr. Webb very highly.

My first impression of Dr. Webb was that this man has a BIG heart and cares about his patients.
He is the BEST surgeon for WLS. I highly recommend him to anyone that is thinking about WLS. He goes above & beyond to make sure you are ready for the surgery and that you are doing what you need to for aftercare.
He made sure that I was aware of all of the pro's & con's and risk involved in the surgery.

His bedside manner is Awesome!

My first meeting with Dr. Webb seemed a little rushed. The clinic was backlogged, and there was a really cranky woman in there demanding to be squeezed into this schedule, so everyone was kind of on edge. However, the nurses handled the cranky woman very well, and I was impressed by their professionalism. I have been researching this surgery for years, so I didn't have many questions for the Dr; when I finally got in to see him, it was just long enough for him to peek at the papers I filled out and tell me that I was good to have the surgery. His office worked with me on the schedule (I needed specific times to meet my work schedule) and called me later that day to schedule my surgery for 1-1/2 weeks later! It all went so fast!!! This has been a positive experience- from the clinic to the Dr to this forum; I am so excited!!!

I met with the Lap Surgery center first then I was refered to Webb by them. They tried to get be to see Dr Deperri (he was not very nice kinda pushy) I did not want to go to him because he has only done a few surgeries and I am not comfortable with that idea.
When I finally met with Dr Webb he seemed to know about the surgery itself but not too much about the things that go along with the procedure. He will refer you to the lap center.
But from what everyone has told me from the hospital he is one of the best surgons there.
He is very nice but very busy.

My first visit with Dr. Webb went very well. He went over all the things I had completed to begin my insurance approval process and discussed a few more tests that he wanted me to have before surgery. Just from talking to him you can feel that he cares about his patients and wants to make them feel comfortable. My next appointment with him will be for my pre-op. I am hoping to have a surgery date for the middle of Feb 06

He was very nice and caring even on the first visit. I still think he is very caring and truly cares about his patients as individual’s not just patients. There was nothing that I did not like about him. Future patients should understand that he seams a little shy but genuinely cares for people and you can pick up on that after getting to know him. He emphasizes much aftercare that this is a lifetime commitment for me to him and him to me. He does have structured aftercare program. He addressed everything that you can imagine about the risks of surgery. I would give him a 10 out of 10, maybe an 11 if able too :) both surgical competence and bedside manner were great. No complaints what so ever!

What was your first impression of him/her?
I liked him. It was great cause I had all my paperwork complete including insurance approval. He examined me and asked if I had a date in mind. He answered my huge list a questions. I was happy with all of the answers.

How did your impression change over time? I will have to let you know.
How would you describe his/her office staff? Helpful. They were on the ball with the paperwork! Would have been happier if I had gotten my date on the spot instead of a approximate date range. But I guess that is my impatients.
What did you like least about him/her? Nothing. He was very sensitive and caring and proficient.
What should future patients know about him/her?
How much does he/she emphasize aftercare? Very much there is a whole center for before and after care.
Does he/she have a structured aftercare program? yes
How did he/she address the risks of surgery? yes, and he has an excellent track record.
How would you rate him/her overall? I havent met with any other surgeon, so I can't compare. But I was fully satified with our meeting.
Which is better, surgical competence, bedside manner, or are both great? both are important and great.

My first impression was that he was super-skilled and passionate about his work. I thought he was a bit antsy, but like most surgeons, he wastes no time. His staff is usually pleasant, although I feel his surgery coordinator is overworked. He was great with my surgery and very caring. He stopped by and checked on my and went over and beyond what he was required to do to assure that I was comfortable and in good health. He returns calls quickly and answers all questions asked. He's also very, very encouraging. Future patients should know that his reputation preceeds him big time. He's the best laparoscopic surgeon in Northern Florida. He's done over 160 gb surgeries with no fatalities; and has been primarily performing laparoscopic surgeries for the past 15 years. The word is, he's an artist. He is very friendly and was super-encouraging. He is very big on aftercare and kept no secrets. His bedside manner is pleasant. As of now, I'd rate him an 9.5...let's hope the surgery results take him to a 20!
