He's very personable and wants to explain everything. He showed me the band and how it works, which was cool.
I feel awkward with new doctors, but I've warmed up to him quickly.
His office staff is wonderful and that's a must because I live almost 3 hrs. away.
A lot of the aftercare goes through a weight loss center and questions about diet goes to those people (nut. and counselors). All the questions about how all this is effecting my electrolytes, etc. are going to my primary doctor where I live - so I'm not sure how it's usually handled.
Everything about the surgery was covered in a seminar beforehand complete with slides and Q & A. I would have been happier if more of the time was spent on the lap band than RNY - but you know that there are more of them at present than banders.
I rate him a 10 out of 10 as his surgical statistics are excellent and he's easy to talk to.

Dr. Webb is the consumate gentleman. Polite, soft spoken, funny, professional and mostly VERY CARING!

His first impression is who he is, no transformation after surgery, still VERY CARING!

His office staff is short handed and overworked, which calls for patience sometimes.

Future patients need to trust their first impressions. He is what he appears to be.

He has a VERY structured aftercare program.

Dr Webb was very honest and upfront about risks during and after surgery.

Dr Webb is very professional. He is 100% behind his patients.

He is blessed with both Surgical competence and excellent bedside manner.

Met Dr. Webb briefly on my first visit. I did go to his mandatory seminar and he spoke for about 45 minutes. I found him very personable and informative. So far, I have heard all great things about him.

Mostly, I like the fact that he has been doing lap surgery for about 17 years and I feel very comfortable that he can do my wls.

I am very excited to see him again.

My first impression of the Dr. was pleasant. He seemed to be very knowledgeable and able to explain the proceedure so that anyone could understand it. His office staff is an absolute dream. They are very considerate of the individual's need's. What I like least about the Dr. was that he had only completed 150 surgeries. He isn't new to laproscopic surgeries but it made me feel a little uncomfortable. He does provide lifetime aftercare program for all his patients and this was the edge that led me to decide to choose him as my surgeon. So far I would rate him at an overall 8. I believe that surgical competence and bedside manner are both great.

Was impressive the first time I met him. He seemed very knowledgeable about the surgery and confident that he could help me. He was so considerate of the fact that I lived far away from his office. I actually got caught in traffic going to his office after a 5 hour trip. I could see I wasn't going to make my appointment even though I was only about 2 miles from his office. He got on the phone and talked to me as if we were having my appointment on the phone. This was during the hurricane problems and he told me to go on home and check my family. We talked on the phone a couple times before my surgery and I had my preop visit the day before my surgery so I would only have to make one trip.
He told me about the risks of the surgery and his aftercare program was staffed with knowledgeable people. I found that his weight loss center staff was more involved in getting the money right than establishing a care system with me. They were friendly enough preop but I didn't hear from them much postop. Some of the staff changed after my surgery so I haven't really talked to them. I have established care in my area. Dr. Webb has had me do bloodwork from where I am and have it faxed to him so that has worked out pretty well. Dr. Webb is very competent in his field and he paid close attention to details. He even came in to check the leak tests postop while the technician was there.
I think anyone using Dr. Webb will find him to be personable and competent. I wanted a doctor that knew what he was doing. I believe I got him in Dr. Webb.

I thought he was very nice.
My impression of him has remained the same. He is very good.
His office staff is very nice and cooperative.
He emphasized aftercare for the rest of your life. Great!
Does not have a structured after care program but, there is one through the hospital.
He did address the risks of the surgery and I added a new one to his list.
Very good, excellent!
Surgical competence is very important but, it is very nice to have someone who has a great bedside manner as well.
The only negative was the hospital staff had problems with competence. I would not have anything done at the hospital again!

I love Dr Webb. I had my gallbladder taken out by him back in 2001. I wouldnt trust any other bariatric surgeons in this area. He is involved in an structured aftercare program with a lot of support. His office staff is okay. I do think it is important to make sure that you meet any surgeon and get your own opinion. Luckily, I already knew him from a prior surgery.
