Dr Olsafka was very nice and thorough. He took time to talk with me even though they were running behind that day. I am still preop but so far, I have been really pleased.

Dr. Lusco is an awesome doctor! He really seems to care about me as a patient and he wants me to succeed - not just because it's good for his business, but because it's good for my health. I would highly recommend him.

I went to Louisville Surgical Associates and was assigned to Dr. John Olsafka. There are three surgeons that do the lap band in the office. I have been very satisfied with Dr. Olsafka. He is very professional and caring. I do think his fill schedule could be adjusted to help get restriction earlier. His first fill is at 6 weeks out and then you come in every 6 weeks for the the first 3 months and then it moves to every 12 weeks. I feel like that should be moved to every 4 weeks until you achieve good restriction. Fortunately, I had restriction pretty much from the beginning so I didn't have too much problem with waiting but I could see how it could be a problem for others. I like the way he does fills as well. He has you lay down and do a crunch to find the port, then you sit up and start drinking water as he inserts saline. You let him know when the water stops going down and then he starts taking out fluid until you feel it go down. It seems to work very well to get a good level of restriction. I''ve only been too tight once and that was my fault. I knew it but thought I could deal with it. I lasted about 3 days and decided I couldn't handle the night reflux. He met me on Friday afternoon to let a little out. He was very understanding.

At first him being blunt turned me off butrn he was right in telling me like it was.rn5. He is not going to BS you when you are notrn eating like you should.rn6. He emphasizes eating right and not rn drinking during meals.rn7. Not that I know of.rn8. Like anyone would, he told me all thern known risks and offered to answer any rn questions I might have had.rn9. 10 out of 10rn10. Both are great in my opinion. I like and need the truth told to me when I am not doing what I should be doing.

Dr. Lusco is one of the most caring doctors I've ever met. He's sweet and he's truly concerned about his patients. We I recommend their practice I always recommend him. I've heard things about Dr. Osafka and when I met him at a seminar he seemed very arrogant.

My first impression of him was he knows his stuff. I have my consult with him on May 21, 2007. I will post more after my consult.rnrnI went for my consult today May 21, 2007 and I found Dr. Lusco to be a very nice man. He gave me a chance to ask questions and he was very happy to answer them for me. He gave me info on the risks and the benefits of Lap-Band surgery. Great Doctor. The office staff is wonderful. They are very informative they made me feel very confortable. Aftercare starts two weeks after surgery and it is included for 6 weeks at the hospital where I am having my surgery. He addressed all of my concerns and answered all of my questions. he gets a 10 in my book.

My first impression of him was that he made me feel very comfortable actually all his staff did. He answered all my qyestions and help me with all my insurance needs. I havent't gotten a surgury date yet. He was very informative, I grew to really respect him. His office staff is very helpful and very friendly. There wasn't anything I didn't like about him. He is a great doctor. He gives very good aftercare to his patients. They have a very structured after care program. He told me all the risk and benefits as did the nursing staff. I would rate him a 10 out of 10. His bedside manner and his surgical competence is great. I had no problems at all with my surgery or my first fill. He came to see me after my surgery and he was just great. I got sick and threw up and he wouldn't let me go home, He is a very caring man to his patients.

Dr. Lusco is absolutely wonderful in every aspect, very caring , compassionate, attentive, you name it you could not ask for anyone better!!!! This is coming from someone who hates to go to the doctor and this was my first time for surgery.rn His office staff has been very helpful and pleasant to me so far.rn I would highly recommend him to anyone.rn yes Dr. Lusco has avery structered aftercare program.rn All concerns were addressed at our seminar as well as at my personal office visit with him.rn Overall I would rate him one of the best!!!!!rn Competence and bedside manner are both great, but I have never had a doctor make me feel so at ease!!!rnrn Remember my surgery was on july 12, 2006, I haven't been back for my followup or my first fill but at this time I do not have anything negative to say.

Dr. Lusco is great! He is willing to listen and let you have time to ask questions. I would rate him a 10 out of 10. He has a great bedside manner, although he looks totally different in scrubs than in his suit and tie! hahaharnI will update more when i have more visits with him.
