Lapband of Louisville Bariatric Center

Dr. Lusco was great! He is a very personable individual. His truely caring attitude shows. The staff at Louisville Surgical Associates has answered each and every question that I had. They are wonderful and VERY supportive.

My first impression of both Doctors at Bluegrass Baratrics were that they were both gorgeous. I found very quickly that they were gorgeous on the inside as well.

Dr. Olsofka was very nice and courteous. He sat down in front of me and basically discussed the lap band procedure and risk involved. He listened closely to my questions and answered them very honestly and openly with supportive medical statistics and up to date research for validation. I have only met with him once and he says that I am a excellant candidate for the lap band procedure. His office staff were very courteous and helpful. I have talked with his office staff numerous times over the phone for guided assistance in getting needed medical records or test results in efforts to getting my insurance to approve paying for the surgery. They have been very acceptable and eager in assisting me with what ever issues or problems that may or can arrise.

Doc. O is a very talented surgeon and his comfort in performing this sugery makes you feel much more comfortable in having this surgery.
His office staff is extremely kind and caring and willing to go the extra mile for each patient. Lana even held my hand as I was put to sleep.
The ONLY downside to Doc O is that sometimes his office visits can be very quick---he is a quick talker and goes thru his end of it very quickly. By asking questions, you can get him to slow down a bit. I have heard that Dr Lusco (his accoc) is a little more compassionate, but I didnt pick a surgeon based on compassion---I wanted a doctor skilled in his speciality-laproscopic surgery. His surgical competence outweighs his bedside manner...but only slightly.
Doc O is all about the fills--he says without proper adjustments, the band WILL NOT work. He has promised me that if I do my part, he will do his part (keeping me properly adjusted), and I WILL LOSE WEIGHT.

I would suggest my surgeon and especially my Bariatric program to anyone interested in lap-band surgery.

My first impression was "O God", he was very insistent about NO SMOKING.
Upon my second office visit, I thought, "wow, I really think I like this man". The office staff was very imformative and helpful. I scheduled my surgery date for the 17th of November, 2004, and very surprised that it was so soon. His office staff worked wonders. I just want to mention that the Bariatric program at Caritas Hospital in Louisville, KY is awesome. Debbie and Lana are great. Any question that I had for them, they had an answer for me. Dr. Lusco is a wonderful man. He visited me after the surgery and said that it went wonderful. THANKS AGAIN, DR. LUSCO AND STAFF.

Dr. Lusco is a caring and sweet doctor. He seems to really be invested in how your progress turns out. His office staff are all sweet and patient. The thing I liked most about him is that he had a very caring demeanor. He is not afraid to get involved with his patients. I would recommend Dr. Lusco and the Caritas Medical Bariatric Program to anyone thinking of having Lap Band Surgery.
Caritas has a very structured aftercare program including free exercise membership and support group meetings.
Dr. Lusco and his staff including Bariatric Program Coordinator Lana Yost (RN) were very thorough in explaining the risks as well as the benefits of surgery.
Dr. Lusco is a great doctor. He has both surgical competence and a caring bedside manner.

Dr Lusco is very nice and very concerned for his patients. The staff has been nice so far, especially Lana and Debbie.I will have to answer the other questions after my surgery.

Dr Olsofka, is very caring and informative. I had a great first impression of him during the seminar.

I had a wonderful first impression of Dr. Lusco and I am excited that I changed physicians. The entire office staff was wonderful.
