Dr. Martin is such a great person. I have recommended him to others. He is very caring about your needs. His staff is excellent and knowledgeable when it comes to the surgery. It's not like a guessing game with any of them.

Dr. Martin is a wonderful caring man. He is very talented and a concerned Dr. His office staff is very good.He has a structured aftercare program. I think he is the best Dr. a person could have.

My family doctor referred me to Dr. Martin because of her experience with previous referrals. I have been very happy with him and his staff. He really stresses education about the surgery prior to meeting with him. He also has a support group which is required for follow up.

The staff has been supportive in assisting with insurance problems. Also there is quick response if you call with any medical problems. His PA Jerrod is on call 24/7.

Only problem that I've had to date is long waits for office appointments.

Dr. Martin seemed to genuinely understand the problem. He seemed honest, kind, and no-nonsense. I look forward to meeting him 1:1 on August 19. Office staff was as helpful as possible while I waited approval. Dr. Martin and staff stress the support group and I have been to 1 session so far.

Very kind, understandung, kmowledgable, sympathetic to the opbese person

Time only strengthened my impression of Dr. Martin. He really cares and took the time to sit and talk with me. I think he is wonderful.

All but one of his staff has been wonderful to me. Jared, the PA, is just as kind and understanding. He takes time to talk and make sure I understnad the answer to any question I have had. Kari, a nurse, is so supportive. I really look forward to seeing them each time I go in.

I really can't say there is anything I liked least about Dr. Martin.

Dr. Martin will listen. Even when I asked him to sit down at the hospital and told him about his employee who was not so kind to me, he listened and related what others had pointed out to him, too. He handled the problem with complete understanding and concern for his patients.

Dr. Martin has a set schedule pf aftercare that must be adhered to. It is for our benefit, not his. We know going in approximately when we can expecft to see him in the post operative care.

The risks of surgery are presented headlong in mandatory informational seminars and in small group presentations just before your initial meeting with Dr Martin.

I would rate him a 10 with 10 being the best. I had met several surgeons before deciding on Dr. Martin. He is by far the best.

I believe that Dr. Martin's surgical competence and bedside manner are just great. I have never seen a more thorough, caring person. I am proud to let everyone know that he was my surgeon and that his staff is super.

I really like Dr. Martin. Very layed back, easy to talk to, and he listens.
Love the new bigger office. Much easier to get through on the phone and talk to someone. Kinda the pits before they moved to the bigger place!
Love going to the support groups and seeing and learning new things. Anne does a great job.
I understand he is doing more lap now. I had wanted lap but wasn't able to have it. I am glad I had open and had no trouble at all.
All risks addressed before and after surgery. Jarad his PA is reallyn nice too.
I would give them a 10 and tell anyone looking to have RNY to check him out.

The first time I saw Dr. Martin was at my orientation to get information about the surgery. He seemed to very knowledgeable about the surgery and seemed trustworthy. Which was important to me..Since I would be putting my life in his hands. And by trustworthy I mean he didn't make comments that he couldn't follow thru with. For example many Dr.s promise you a mircle behind this surgery and he was very up front about the fact that he will do his part, but the rest is up to you.
As far as his staff they are excellent...When ever you have a question someone will get the answer for you. They are very friendly and true.
Over time my impression of Dr. Martin and his staff still remains the same. I have been seeing him for 10months now.
I can't really say that there is anything that I don't like about him except that he doesn't have an office in Cincinnati, because that is where i live..So i have to travel to Dayton to go to office visits but its worth the travel.
As far as after care he has it set up so that you have frequent office visits with him for follow up. During so visits he is most definitely checking to see if you are making those good food choices.
He also has support meetings and other groups that are well organized by his staff.
Overall I believe as far as the risk involved in having this surgery he was very upfront about it all...I would rate him as a Doctor on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being the worst a 10+. His bedside manner was excellent he came and checked up on me while there. For me surgical competence is most important but a good bedside manner is a plus.
I have and will recommend him to others who are interested in this surgery.

From the moment I walked into the informational seminar and heard Dr. Martin speak, I knew that he was the right surgeon. He has an excellent sense of humor, but knows when to be serious. I'll give more details post-op.
